cEvin:"This was the last song Dwayne ever worked on in his life.I remember watching him working on it. I had thought, pretty much like all others, that Dwayne was clean at this point. But as I later learned he was struggling hard at this time. I recall seeing him fully asleep while working on the track and I now know what it was. At the time I thought he was listening with his eyes closed. It's a very special song for the emotion in his piano part." RIP DRG

Recently lost 2 friends to the same thing. I truly sympathize for the families who learn of this problem through the death of their children. This song will always remind me of my lost friends

This track is now all the more haunting, beautiful, sad, and special knowing that story.

:) :0 there was a little hole-in-the-wall awesome kewl record shop in chicago called 'armageddon records' around oh 95-96... stopping in one day, i asked 'what is this?' being played on store stereo; they'd just gotten it in... the new side-skinny puppy project. a rabid sp fan of the time, i had to have it... and this track is still one of the deepest, most subtly layered tracks ever. :0 no other 'mellow' has quite gotten it done like this one... RIP dg. live long and prosper ck :) and ko!

When I first listened to Furnace I didn't really like it. Nowadays I think it is a benchmark album.
