Rach hears this beautiful track from Caligula's Horse for the first time. Dee makes dubious claims. / rdme_channel Check out Caligula's Horse on Spotify. #caligulashorse #Prog #Progmetal #Reaction #Reactions #RDMEProg #RDME

My 19 year old played this for me for the first time about a year ago, and it hit me like a kick in the stomach. I have PTSD related to combat, and sleep, especially during times of stress, is sometimes not very pleasant for me. The verses themselves were impactful enough, but the first time he sang, "bring me my tomorrow," I almost lost it. I love this song so much. It gives me so much peace.

I love how it goes from gentle to like a tad intense and then gentle again and it just goes back and forth such a beautiful song

Caligula"s Horse is another personal favorite of mine, Im actually wearing the same Rise Radiant shirt as I type this, lol. This song is absolutely beautiful and one of my favorites off the album, with The Ascent and Oceanrise being my others, I'd love to see more reactions from this band as well, maybe do Graves, Bloom + Marigold, or Dark Hair Down next (:

A Leprous track is surely the next logical choice?
@RDMusicExchange2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I've not heard any of their work - what do you recommend?
@overtheoverseer2 жыл бұрын
@@RDMusicExchange oh wow. Leprous, Caligula's Horse and Haken are the "Holy Trinity' of contemporary prog for me! It's really tricky to pick just one track as Leprous have such an impressive and diverse discography, but I'd probably go with 'White' as a great introductory piece 🙂

If you here with Caligulas Horse, you should try their cover of Peter Gabriel’s song Don’t Give Up. The Kate Bush part is taken by Exploring Birdsongs Lynsey Ward. It’s on the most recent album.

This album in fact. So you’ve probably already heard it. I see people recommending Haken for you. I first got into them through the song Cockroach King. There’s a great video that goes with it with the band played by puppets!

Yep - Love that track. Check out our Exploring Birdsong video :)

Yep, love Haken - the second ever video we did was for Endless Knot, check it out. and yes, Cockroach King is coming soon :)

The first reaction I watched if yours was the Exploring Birdsong one. I’m just catching up on the rest of your videos. I now see I’m a little bit behind on what you’ve already done 😆. I think we probably have very similar taste in music. 👍🏻
