I finally got it thank you. I would recommend anyone trying this First save game, If it doesn’t spawn load game and go check the spot again. If he’s not there set up a camp and sleep till morning. It has to be on a sunny day. Repeat till it spawns it will spawn eventually.

My thoughts exactly. Other tutorials seem to be based on more luck than finding one here. I found this location through a Reddit post and decided to make a video about it because I was also very upset about Colter guides and such and wanted to give people another location to try that works better. Some claim it doesn't work, which I find strange. But those Colter guides never worked for me and I spent countless hours riding up and down Brandywine drop to get moose before discovering the post to this spot.

Pro Tip I've found after doing this to get a total of 4 perfect pelts, I'm on PC mind you, if you fully quit the game and then load your game again it seems to always give the moose versus staying in game and constantly reloading, I found 2 pelts super fast this way vs wasting hours before... oh also if the moose is out of reach for whatever reason you can lasso it and pull it to you

Had the same problem, there's a strangers camp that spawns in that location, you can talk to him until he leaves, set up camp (will spawn you near wapiti again), destroy your camp and set it up again in the location where the stranger was.

it worked! and then it worked for me again when i logged on & it spawned me near the camp. i said well let me see if 1 will spawn (it was about 2:30 PM) and it was there! *still need the bull. gonna keep trying. THANK YOU

I spent 7+ hours hunting near colter, going from cairn lake down to barrow lagoon and lake Isabella. Reloading the game, camping out and sleeping days away, fast traveling back and forth to Saint Denis. I had 1 moose spawn the whole time, the female without the horn so not the one I needed. Spent 10 minutes tops doing your method and got 2 moose spawns, got a female first and reloaded the game a few times and then got the bull I needed. Thank you for the guide

It never lets me setup camp anywhere near the actual place selected. It takes me miles outside of intended area. It's annoying, yet not as annoying as the damned constant rain.

@@MR1048 Well it's not exactly necessary to set up camp there. It's only the most convenient spot due to its proximity. But yes you definitely don't want rain. Good luck.

Kinda pissing me off that when i set up camp it sends me all the way to wapiti reservation for some reason..... ok after some trial and error i finally set up camp nearby and it took forever but i have been getting my mooses thank you. If its not there and as long as the camp is set up down the hill you can just set up camp and itll teleport you back to your camp or set up a new one in the same spot amd run back until it shows but it does work

I cannot thank you enough, I spent 3 hours originally hunting at all known locations for moose, I found one in west elizabeth, which was only in good condition, then I found another good condition moose at cairo. I'm pretty sure we all went through a grueling hunt for those stupid trapper chaps and this lad saved everyones life here haha, thanks for the tutorial man!

@@willembanasch4762 I still don't know if all but many spawns in RDR2 are fixed. You can pretty much get a moose in any location you've seen one before. I would think that the moose often just gets cancelled out at other locations due to other spawns. There is very likely a limit on entities that can spawn around you.

Was so surprised but it actually works. Little tip, to get the moose out, put down herbivore bait to lure it out of the out of bounds area.

When I try to set up camp near Mysterious Hill Home, it teleports me to Wapiti Indian Reservation, and it seems like getting to the spot takes a little longer and no moose has spawned after like 12 tries already. How do I get myself to camp directly on Mysterious Hill Home?

You don't necessarily have to go to mysterious hill home. It's just the most convenient camp site. It's close and you can easily sleep and ride back and forth. Usually you only get teleported to wapiti when there is someone else already camping there. I don't know what else to tell you. Did you go directly to where the campsite is. You can kind of see where it is by all the crates and pots lying around it. It's not the best campsite in the sense that the game really doesn't like putting you there. If you're just a few inches in a different direction it can put you in other spots. But I've really only ever had trouble when someone else was already there. Although someone mentioned that you can sleep at the campsite even if someone else set it up. Wish you better luck.

please dont call it "guaranteed" if it's not guaranteed! guaranteed means you go there, it's there. it is not guaranteed if it might spawn there like 3 times out of a hundred. that's not guaranteed. i quit trying after about 20 times. i will have to try another method from one of the other videos.

This is the only place you need to go. If the game forces your camp to the Reservation, just camp closer to the spawn point. Oh and remember you can Lasso and knife kill these

Worked for me the first try. I wasn't even able to set up camp at the spot indicated because an NPC was already camped there (the guy from Mexico who killed his best friend). So i talked to him and he eventually rides off. I usee his fire to craft some herbivore bait and rode to the spot. 3 star moose standing there, out of bounds. I dropped two potent baits and waited and the moose walked right towards me. Worked perfectly. Thank you.

Yeah it can happen that the spot is occupied. I usually still just set up camp which sends me to another place and then I ride back and the person is gone. But I'm glad things worked out for you.

@@completemariofan11 Sorry to hear about this. You could try barrow lagoon I've seen moose there on many playthroughs but it usually only spawns the first time I go there. Riding around the area shown in the video helps. It doesn't always show up for me right away. But it usually doesn't take long for me to get one. I also use a lot of fast travelling when I want to get another moose to spawn after I killed one. Usually I fast travel to saint Denis then ride back out and fast travel to wapiti until the corpse disappears. Maybe you could try "resetting the area by fast travelling away and going back. Sure it's annoying but this is by far the most reliable location.
