Had the pleasure of seeing Alexis Spight sing this song at the Empowerment Temple yesterday.

Man it would take me time to get use to being so far away from the artist. I like being close and intimate as to see the expression of the artist and those small nuances that assists with accompanying them as well. Nice playing Kevin Powell...You are the man.

You can get off Josh Mayfield you must then lost what ever mind you got or you just don't know drums prob the second one

Henry Young I know drums very well, friend. I didn't say it as a cut- I said it as a critique. His placement and use of cymbals wasn't tasteful. Which can be said of most Gospel drummers that don't play either at a professional level or on records. It's mostly just loud banging versus tasteful hits. Calvin Rodgers is probably my poster board for this arguement. He brings the kit to life without hitting a crash every other bar. And Chris Coleman and Teddy Cambpell. Not knocking this guy's skills, just saying that this performance (or offering rather- seeing that this was worship ) wasn't tasteful.

Once again the Nord sits forsaken to the Yamaha generation! lol Lord forgive them
@ChurchBoy04878 жыл бұрын
+Greg Short I never understood it either. Why spend so much on a superior board and have it sitting secondary? I guess all gospel churches gotta have that MOTIF sound for whatever reason. However from my understanding the NORD isn't multitimbral, also the sounds I hear don't really cut through the mix like the MOTIF but idk since I don't own one.
@gcmproductions34998 жыл бұрын
unless he is using midi on nord to the motif
@Sam_imman7 жыл бұрын
you guys are mistaken.. Sure its midi on nord to the motif.. The feel of nord when midi'd with roland rd or some motif weighted keys are heavenly..
@Sam_imman7 жыл бұрын
Nord will put the motif to sleep on any day.. since motif are considered as gospel standards, ppl are using it.
