Thanks for having me on the show, I had a really good time! :D (Clearly I need to brush up on those Season 20+ episode names...)

season 4 was made in 1991 maybe a little into 1992 ...not sure why you said 1995...no way...and this was a hold over episode so it was made in late 1991 or early 1992...for sure...thats why it looks old..it isn't 1995 film roman animation

im sorta mad that monsters didnt give you like only episodes from seasons 1-12 cause like who the hell remembers shit after season 13...nobody.....trust me...I could literally give you 95% of episode titles and the season based on one sentence descriptions before season 13 that is.....based on memory alone..

Therealjims is probably the greatest channel on KZbin. I recommend you check out the Two Bad Neighbours podcast too. It’s my favourite Simpsons podcast and he’s guested on that too.

I loved how pieguy noticed the subtle jokes in the golden era of the simpsons from site gags to background stuff to little throwaways that don't get focus...theres always the main plot jokes but theres so many little well timed small gags throughout that you miss the first time you watch unless your rewind or don't focus on the main plot

The 2019 DC Superhero Girls series is a complete reimagining of the 2015 DC Superhero Girls series from KZbin. They have different showrunners. The 2015 series has Shea Fontana for seasons 1-4, and WB regulars Jeremy Adams, Patrick Rieger, and Joelle Sellner for season 5. The 2019 series has Lauren Faust as the showrunner.

Happy Birthday Pieguy, it was cool you got Real Jim to come on the podcast. The streaming Wars are looking to be heating up.

Hulu, its already-streaming originals aside, is the streaming home for The Goldbergs, Blackish and Modern Family. A lot of Nick and Cartoon Network shows have their home there. And there are a lot of originals coming to Hulu, like Crossing Swords, like, half a dozen Marvel shows, and The Orville and 4 FX shows are moving there. The Animaniacs reboot is still headed there!

On shaking up the status quo in the Simpsons...I honestly think they should age all the characters by 1-2 years and maybe move towards season or half-season long plotlines.
@Anthropomorphic5 жыл бұрын
I like the first idea. Seems like it'd mostly shake things up for the kids, but maybe that'd be enough. Still kind of attached to the idea of self-contained episodes, but then longer plotlines has worked out well for South Park as far as I can tell.
@garthst.claire34595 жыл бұрын
@@Anthropomorphic Yeah I was thinking something Smiliar to how South Park did it, for a few seasons. Self-contained episodes that still had a sort of over-arching plot in the background. Like for instance they could break up Homer and Marge for half a season. It would shake up the status quo, maybe introduce new characters and situations and then they could reunite them, because nobody wants them to separate forever.

For years my family had crummy internet, so we couldn't even get streaming! My parents (as it turns out) were paying nearly $200 a month for TV! It was crazy. Now we have good internet, and we use Hulu with Live TV. It's only $45, and it is even better than our old tv because it comes with a huge streaming library. And even better, we can use it on our Nintendo Switches!! Streaming is ultimately a life saver, no matter how many seeming drawbacks there are. Also, I was so psyched to see TheRealJims! He's one of my favorites, so this is an awesome listen!

I really like how you guys start off by correcting the mistakes from the previous episode - it shows how you admit your flaws, and how you do make mistakes here and there, instead of being all "Nuh-uh! We're always Right! So suck it!" It also reminds me of _Geography Now_ , where Paul corrects his mistakes in each episode's corresponding _Flag/Fan Fridays_ episode, and I always appreciate when KZbinrs take the time to do that. So good on you guys, and keep doing what you doing, one step at a time. :) Also, happy birthday, Pieguy! :) 29:52 Baby Yoda, anyone? 41:23 Yeah, even as a kid, I thought the bit with Bart's grade was just dumb and pointless. And it's funny to think that the DCOM _Camp Rock_ would use a similar "plot point", which Doug Walker rightfully chewed out when he reviewed it for Disneycember. 42:45 I mean, I never went to summer camp as a kid - I guess it's not that popular here in Australia. 51:05 Harry Shearer and the Chamber of Palette-Swaps 53:07 It's okay - I've dated a girl with a superfluous third Chromosome 21, so I getcha. :) 53:17 Yeah, I'm pretty sure pacemakers are real - MrEnter used them in an analogy in his _Cars 2_ review to point out how stupid the concept of "lemon" cars is. (Granted, the analogy was equally as dumb, but the way he mentioned them implies Krusty isn't the only person who has one.) 1:10:38 Homer = MGTOW confirmed Now for my trivia GUESSES. 1. "Marge Be Not Proud", Season 6 (title correct, but the season is... 7? Really? Well, that's just 1 point for me, then.) 2. I have no idea- pass. ("A Test Before Trying", Season 24) 3. No idea. ("E Pluribus Wiggum", Season 19) 4. Ah, I've seen this episode, but I don't know the title! Is it a... Season 8 episode? (Season 14? Really? And the title is "Helter Shelter".) 5. I'm passing this one too, guys, since I really don't know this episode either. ("Lisa With An S", Season 27) So I only got 1/10, or 10% - another big fat measly F. Dang, I need to brush up on my _Simpsons_ trivia!

Exactly. Comparing "Kamp Krustier" to the original "Kamp Krusty" is like comparing "Fire Dogs 2" from the Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon to the original "Fire Dogs" episode from the Ren and Stimpy Show. Both retcon a lot of things and the connections to the prequel episodes are flimsy at best.
@razkable5 жыл бұрын
@@IvanovIvanAKrutoi I never understood the point of showing someone a post season 8 simpsons episode...seasons 1-7 are so perfect and the first half maybe 2/3 of season 8 is really good and then it just fell off a cliff say for a few season 9 and 10 eps that are at least ok...like lisa's sax...not maybe the whole episode but the idea is nice...I always wanted to know where she got the sax from for example and that episode delivered cute backstory...but yeah like any season 1-7 episode will make you laugh and sometimes emotional...I think the best episode that does both is the way we was...just the ultimate feels and comedy episode...from homer getting irked that a song he doesn't like plays as he drives to school turning off the song by the cheesy pop corny semi love ballet from the carpenters "closer to you" which eventually becomes their marriage song ironic enough and instead turning to a station playing space cowboy raising it and his voice to sing along to when he says marge I got a problem when you stop this car im going to hug you and kiss you and ill never be able to let go...and I never did when homer kisses marge to end the episode in the present after telling the story its just the most perfect episode

hey monsters watch krusty gets busted from season 1 and the pilot simpsons roasting on an open fire also from season 1 then in season 2 I recommend either lisa's substitute or the way we was from season 3 I could name like 5 episodes but I say the best ones are either homer at the bat or seperate vocations for a newcomer although radio bart is pretty fun too and then from season 4 obviously last exit to springfield and marge vs the monorail are obvious top tier episodes also I love lisa ain't bad from that season either and cape feare from season 5 or homer's barbershop quartet or boy scouts n the hood are all really good and then in season 6 itchy and scratchy land homer the great and who shot mr.burns part 1 are amazing.. ....if those episodes don't get you hooked then nothing will...those are all top 50 episodes of the series quality at worst imo...some of the best of the first 6 seasons at least if you want diversity cause seasons 3-6 as a whole are all so good so I could recommend a lot of those eps aka the best of the best but I think getting the best episode per season is a better way to enjoy the show as a whole the entire craze golden and silver age eras....maybe watch treehouse of horror V too from season 6 its a pretty top tier parody of the shining in particular
