Question for me strell is , you do complain about your knee , a part of your feet coming in contact with the engine and the wobbling issue post 120km/hr, then how come you are recommending this bike to someone who wants a 'racing bike ' when it has problems in ergonomics, riding stability and in the front suspension?

The thing with default (free) mirrors that comes with it, there’s a big issue for visibility. Would recommend bar end mirrors.

I own the Interceptor and the mirrors are fine. Can't say about the GT though!

​@@rakshanpoojary439 for gt, bar end mirrors are must not only for the looks but also bcoz u r lean forward and to get a proper view from the mirror u need to lean a bit back N.B. My gt has lower clipon and maybe that's why i feel bar end mirror makes more sense without leaning back to see the mirror properly

If I am not wrong, this is India’s first sports class motorcycle with a 650cc engine. That’s why Continental GT has a fanbase way superior to any actual sportsbike in India ( apart from Busa )

Lol cafe racer is NOT sports bike. The main characteristic of sports bike is it's sharp handling and aggressive braking. Ride a RC390 and GT back to back, you'll know the difference.

actually you know there are not much options in 600 cc band , with the cost it comes with , it becomes really good to own something like 650 cc engine power

It doesn't actually have an 650 engine power..​@@idk-69247 And even an r3 is comparable because of its power/weight ratio..r3 is actually faster.. So get it only if you want a good looking cafe racer.

If you have a thing for cafe racers, this is the bike. Lovely handling, entry level power which is good, and some decent features. Classic aura, makes you feel like you're on a back-in-the-day rally esp with bags loaded. If you don't like such an aggressive rider's triangle, don't attempt. Check out the inter /meteor. Or 390s. Or anything else.

This bike shld be awarded as "ergonomically failure". Nothing else. Parts Quality is 3rd class. Engine is good. Nothing else.

I would suggest please go for the ADV 390 X or wait for the bikes like new ktm duke 390 / Himalayan 450 and then re-think your options before spending the money

Its like you want a Classic 350 or an RC390 few years back. Meteor 650 is relaxed but heavy to maneuver. GT 650 feels faster and more fun to ride. If you plan to ride with pillion, then Meteor.

maintaining harley is harder in india and any local mechanic isn't good with harley bikes. whereas Royal Enfield is much familiar with the Mechanic .

HI Strell. I am planning to buy a new twin cylinder Royal Enfield motorcycle. Out of the 4 available right now, I am in love with continental GT 650. Is there any update coming to this motorcycle anytime soon? Maybe a new engine / better equipment / more features. Should I put off my purchase for some time? since this bike has been almost unchanged for over 5 years now (except a few color variants / alloy wheels, whatever you covered in this video). I am 5'6. But the interceptor has footpegs right down the rider. Hence, we have to keep our legs spread. And hence feels taller.

Going for GT or Interceptor clearly depends on your riding style. But I'd suggest not to try anything to lower the suspension. It's not a good idea for this bike.

Just wanted to say adding that disclaimer doesn't stop the law from taking action against you. Chapri are going to be chapri regardless of your attempts, I just saw some idiot putting water into the GT650 exhaust for some reason I couldn't fathom, he thought it looked cool I guess.

Go for rc390 too fast in corners and braking power is too superior to gt650 main problem is very soft front forks dumb RE gave usd forks to supermeteor which is absolutely non sense if they don't give to GT650

650s always had high-speed stability issues. I don't think it's because of alloy wheels. It has something to do with the tyres or the suspension set up.

​@@iamstrell bro i had a full fairing installed on my gt 650 and the front end weight has gone up due to the fairing & due to that fairing making the bike front heavy there is no wobbling even at 170kmph on speedometer, The bike feels rock solid at that speed bcoz of the fairing Conclusion: what i think the bike has most of the weight at the centre and back & the front end is light compared to the back, that's why there's a wobble due to front-end lightedness , So putting fairing or anykind of heavy weight on the front end will disappear the wobble ig

I bought Highness a month ago, but I test drove the Interceptor 650 few days ago and bike did not feel like a Royal Enfield at all(for the good reasons)! When I think of RE, I was expecting vibrations, but the Interceptor did not vibrate at all! Power delivery as per my understanding was quite smooth. It wasn't flying as soon as you open the throttle, but the pace was gradual. Gearbox and braking were quite wonderful too❤

Interceptor wasn't flying when you opened the throttle ? , Lol , it goes from 0 to 100kmph in just 7 seconds , so considering that to your Honda Hness , Interceptor is definitely Flying , and i have test drived it multiple times

Ridden adv390 and int650. Vouching for 650 in the character department, adv 390 for the adventure department. So in your case it is indeed int650.. (i have one in my garage :))

​@@anujarttPS: The weight is not an issue in the city. The stock silencers are because of their width but still not a big deal. Handling is also fine but it is obviously not as nimble as the Duke. The 650 engine is far better in the city than the 390. Torque throughout the rev range. Just leave it in one gear and ride. The 390 requires a lot of gearshifts.

Ninja is a very lighter, faster motorcycle. The only advantage I650 has is on service cost and accessibility of service related things.
