Hey man same since I started at 18 I'm 23 now went to rehab twice but long story short no one really knows what those group sessions do to you and how it can change your life. Relapses in most cases will happen it happened to me 6 months ago but I just kept fighting through it and I realized self isolation is not a full proof plan to sobriety you gotta get people around you who truly support you. I was lucky enough to have friends who cared about me but also cut off a lot of kids who were terrible influences on me. Glad you made it through Justin I remember seeing people leave days after coming into rehab just because they think that they cant let go. For guys or at least for me you dont ever wanna show weakness or vulnerability but we are all human beings and we got emotions that we need to share with others. Without at least trying to continue to better yourself is beating the insurmountable. Keep it going bro and lets get some more fuckin dubs baby #Greenwall NO MORE 0-3 3-0s ONLY NOW BOYYY haha.

Admittedly, I watched this last year in October and within a week had started going to meetings, properly reflecting and talking about past trauma and such. So I gotta say, nick, fucking thank you man! Your story helped me change my story, and I have the utmost respect for you and your story. Happy to see you have improved yourself! It’s been almost a year since this was posted, I kinda wanna see a year in review for you, I wanna know where you’re at now in comparison to then! Thank you for making this. As someone who nearly died to my addiction at the age of 19 and am still in the recovery process. Being so open about this helps me in so many ways with the motivation that you and I are not alone in this. I have now been sober since February 29th 2016, I know that I will never not be an addict at heart. But I do know that I can keep a hold on my addiction as long as a stay connected mentally with how bad it really was back then and that I made a promise to myself that day that I would never revisit that lifestyle again. Stay focused Maniac, and keep sharing your experience, It will only push us farther into our sobriety!

I don't know if it was like this for anyone else, but when Nick got his cat back and he starting purring and crying for him I legit started tearing up, I am even tearing up just typing this oh my god... as someone who grew up on Optic when Nick first joined them I have always looked up to him and Nick has made my life better so much during the days I would see him stream or post videos because he was such an enjoyment to watch. Nick I may not know you personally but bro you are an inspiration to so many like myself and I can't thank you enough for being you and giving time to laugh and be happy during my day. If I ever meet you one day man just know that I will be there to say "thank you". I am so happy to see you are sober now and continuing to be with the guys on a daily basis... all love to you brotha, keep on keeping on! BTH, Greenwall and Maniac for life!🙏💚

I definitely got choked up watching this, I quit drinking a couple years ago and quit smoking pot on Christmas and it's never until after you get it done that you realize the support you have in your friends and family. The fear of being a burden is so much in your head and the respect your friends and family have for you as a person to not want to control you is the biggest thing stopping people, I feel like. Once you display an urge to change for you, the support and love that comes along with that is seemingly unwavering. I hope for the best for you guys and it only goes up from here. Good luck and congratulations for making such large strides to better your life and situation.
