Post-hunt update: Looks like his head & tail do indeed have one break each (I got some expected break rewards for these after the Quest Completed). Also, I double-checked that he can indeed get para-ed, but it must quite a high threshold indeed! :)

Absolutely love this style of MH video. This is what old world monster hunter is about. I love how deliberate you are about your hunts and the commentary really brings it up. Keep it up, never stop this series

Thanks so much! I'm glad to hear other folks out there still enjoy the "old world" style of prep & hunting. Looking forward to recording more. :)

I really like the silhouette of the new armor set it's giving Kamen rider vibes

yoo right at 4min 3sec a hornetaur gets vaporized! nice clear! I remember farming this guy in 4u for a pierce set

Thanks! I might have done the same back in 4U (I remember using his parts and Artian). :)

I really envy your chill attitude, my last non aerial style najarala hunt ended with a punch on the wall...

Heh, thanks! Aerial does sound like a pretty fun matchup on Naja, though, I have to admit. Hopping right out of that tail-coil 👌

I was trying to remember what that was like during this hunt. I've definitely forgotten some of it (and blocked other parts out, lmao).

Why is it whenever I attempt to hunt with a bowgun or a bow the monster just constantly agros me and I never get any safe openings to shoot, but when I watch someone else do a hunt they can easily maneuver around and get tons of damage off 😂
@Stef205020 күн бұрын
It's just the difference in experience keep at it and you'll start to understand the quirks of the weapon better and you'll be better able to maneuver around and stuff too

Definitely depends on the monster, the gun, and the ammo you're firing! (I frequently feel my best-laid bowgun plans go to ruin, too). Here I think it helped that pierce ammo is in "critical range" a bit further away from the monster, so I had more time to walk out of the way with LBG's "light jog" movement speed. I def had to switch over to Normal 2 once the Iodrome joined in, too (that way I could fire from the hip, not worry about critical distance as much, and not have a whole rapid fire volley to worry about). Guns are so much to think about in MH - I think it must take a ton of hours to feel totally confident with them (I don't really feel that way yet, myself).

playin through low rank gu myself! najarala solo can be so rude. some attacks are huge areas of denial or send him slithering across. blademasters gunna work to get those trips! pretty satisfying once you learn it (or re-learn it! lol)

Cheers, Shup! I'm excited to try him out with blademaster again (well, "excited", but actually so, haha). Gotta re-learn the snake dance 🕺🐍
