I dont understand all those 8s and 8.5s. Both Cao Yuan and Wang Zongyuan should have gotten 9s or higher all throughout!

Alem did you see that Cao Yuan will be at the paris2024 Olympics? On platform??? Crazy huh? I dont have tickets for platform men but will sure be looking for him. (I thought only you would understand my excitement lol.. I've been away from flipnrip for so long 😬

He actually is my favorite diver of all times also. People don't give him enough credit! And he still dives and wins medals at the age of 27!

Definitely! the only thing is that Wang Feilong doesn't dive 3 meter (yet in competition).. We will see what the future bring! Hard to "dethrone" Cao lol

@@richardong6640 Just learned Cao Yuan is going to the Paris Olympics 2024! He's not out yet. I bet he'll devour all of his competitors. They will all die of his cuteness and applaud his excellent performance!

Cao yuan is so unlucky when it comes to world cup and world champ however in olympic he manages to got 2 gold medals in in individual event

Ha that is true! Coaches do train their divers to peak at certain times of the year. China has their divers on a really specific schedule. Not sure how it was this year with back to back "world" championships and "world" cup.. Many countries did not even send divers to this competition... And Yuan seems to be hurt again (this other shoulder now) :( .. He is still so good! Im guessing he might retire soon.. Their 2nd best 3m diver just needs to get better in order to be sent to compete internationally..

he seems to me more like extra lucky and also manages to perform his personal best on the Olympics. he's good but not consistently better than everyone else in a sweeping manner. and If I remember correctly, his two individual golds are his best score of the year, or maybe the entire olympic cycle. and of course when it comes to synchro, it's a completely different story, or should I say unlucky...

having handrails on sides of the board is so strange, and they seem to be so narrowly apart that I'm curious if athletes ever hit their hands on the rail

They actually shouldn't hit their hands since the circle of the arms comes right before the dive so way at the end of the board. But I am sure that new divers probably hit sometimes.
