If you think they‘re just sitting there and doing nothing,congratulations,you just made these riders a compliment.Because that is the art of dressage,a good rider will make a complicated lesson look effortless.

Hasti Navaiyan dressage is part of all riding styles, if you can’t do dressage your horse is not collected and complete hollow in the back.

@@shamparoy3219 Yes I know. And it's a lot harder too. That's why I love dressage. You can become one with your horse and you can develop a strong bond with them too. It's a beautiful time for you and your horse to connect. So don't be saying that show jumping is better then dressage because I love them both very much. Have a wonderful day!

To me they all, especially riders like Edward Gal, seems to rein in too tight. His horse head wrapped in tight the entire ride. When you look at old dressage masters like Reiner Klimke, Nuno Oliveira, their horses head is never behind the vertical. They are in fact slightly in front of the vertical.

@ArizonaAirspace
@ArizonaAirspace 6 жыл бұрын
A McG I don't think you and ill ever see it because the art of real horsemanship seems to be lost in the professional Dressage world. The old masters wrote extensively about this, in that even in the old days, bad riders artificially forced their horses neck into a "frame" instead of riding your horse from behind into the frame naturally by engaging from their back to allow their horses to reach into their bit. And if you ride correctly, you can clearly see this happening as your horses neck break at the poll as he reaches into your bit and into your hands. There's no need for harsh pulling at all.

It's the difference between Competition Dressage and Classical Dressage. To make money, a horse is rushed through training and taught to perform movements that vaguely resembles the actual movement. It's just not worth it for Competitive Dressage to spend the few extra years training right and slow to the horses pace.
@janeforkert8772

Exactly.. I think they've brought in new guidelines regarding this now... Head behind the vertical.
@ArizonaAirspace
@ArizonaAirspace 3 жыл бұрын
@@coollikegrass2489 Excellent observation and sadly I agree. It takes at least 10 years to train a horse correctly in classical Dressage. And it takes more than 10 years to train a human rider to ride correctly. Some never attain that because they are either not built for riding Dressage or they are too arrogant to accept the correct teaching.

can we just plz ride with a rein longer then the vertical? i know they are high trained horses but this is unfair. dressage would look better if some of the horses didn’t have to go trough rolkur . btw why don’t they just use the most simple bit? if they are pros they should be able to ride with a regular bit . the person from 3.04.10 kinda overused the spurs to get to the piaffe, and it kinda looked like she was using the bit for balance. over all, this is my opinion, i do dressage myself. feel free to give ur own comment

@morganadini9404
@morganadini9404 3 жыл бұрын
@@bronwynkeyes1596 ohoh sure. Let's start from the name: dressage mean "training" and NOT "forcing", true dressage rejects any coercive harness such as flashes, double rains , heavy bits and so on (so modern dressage doesn't follow this "rules"). Second thing, the position of the horses are completey wrong, the head is to "streteched", the first and the second vertebrae shoul be the higher one, but in this video, for example, is the 4th one, and this position creates problem to the back and compromises the breathong. the movements are too exagerate beacause they are "forced" to do that. if you want to see TRUE and respectfull dressage you should look for Philippe Karl.
