I love Re Ment minis. The paint-job, especially on some of the items that came out a long time ago, have a vintage look that I can appreciate. But the packaging of the snacks and grocery boxes and such is very up-to-date, like the kinds of food brands that are popular now in real life. I live in the U.S., and if not for the Internet, I probably wouldn't have heard about this line of Japanese miniatures. As it is, I've been collecting American and British-looking miniatures for so many years that it's too late for me to 'start over' with a whole new collection now. But I love seeing this beautiful classroom set up with all those different meals and the lunch counter.
