Yeah. Monster Hunter's stories may be weak at best, but goddamn they did a pretty good job of building you up for the fight, and hnng that intro cutscene. Especially with the 3D on. I LOVE that black sky, glowing earth aesthetic, and then the sky clearing at the end reminiscient of Amatsu... c'est magnifique.

Am I the only one that liked mh4u pacing of the story and how it develops with gore Magala to shaguru more than mhw story which don’t get me wrong was also good but I preferred the whole rival thing with gore than the exploration of a new world abit more.This fight was memorable than nergigante but I think they wanted Nergigante to have a different feeling.

Shagaru feels like you're saving something. You're not necessarily saving the world, but you're definitely saving Cathar from another disaster, and possibly more. This one it was just kind of... Oh. There's a giant thing. And it hurt one person. And now I'm being told WE HAVE TO STOP IT FROM GETTING FREE. But why? It's not really threatening. Odagaron was more of a threat than this thing. It doesn't have a plague that it can spread, it's just a medium-large angry monster. We literally fight those for fun all day. There was zero connection or investment in the dumb FF7 storyline, and honestly, even after finishng it, it still didn't make a lick of sense.

"Heaven's Wheel" most likely refers to the wheel of samsara, the wheel that embodies the cycle of suffering. Shagaru's design is indeed heavily based off a pinwheel, and how it's lifecycle seems to propagate endless suffering for anything around it. The frenzy endlessly consumes everything around it, and even when it's time to die, another Gore Magala will take its place and become its "reincarnation" forming a cycle of light and darkness. The only way to end this cycle of suffering, to stop the wheel, is to slay the wheel. So that we may heal.

I had a love hate relationship with this fight, it took me an extremely long time to find the blast radios (or whatever) of his closer shot that splits into two different directions (you know that thing) but other than that the fight was incredible, the music, everything made it perfect, and that cutscene before you fight him, god, it isn’t just the hunter and hunted it is a true rivalry, ever since this thing was an adolescent, you just screw him up, it is a true rivalry.

I think Nergigante would still take the fight, His brute force is impressive to say the least, and he fights with the intent of killing other elders.
