How did they pass right over after Jason references "Moondoggie from Gidget." I had to pause. First I thought maybe he was referencing the TV show from the 60's. But he was apparently referencing a character from a surfing movie in the 50's with the plot description "a young girl finds surfing and love ..." Jason was born in 1972. Him knowing that movie well enough to randomly reference a character by name in it, either makes him a major cinephile or a bit too much like his character Rafi than I'm comfortable with.

Watching this series for a long time, since 2012, one of my favorite aspects of HDTGM is that Jason is obviously very intelligent but is extremely tactful in his expression of it, so it always adds to the comedy.

likely a contract with whoever host their podcast aka earwolf and they are in the industry with movies and shows so they can't just start burning bridges with media companies even if it's just a "podcast company" producers won't like actor that will just ignore contracts.

They hosted their podcast via Stitcher. Stitcher was bought by SiriusXM so I’m guessing there are issues between Earwolf and SiriusXM.

Granted I love these podcasts, but there are times I wish they looked at the whole picture before drawing conclusions. Haha I know it’s just a movie, but for them taking Adam in at the end, there’s a reason it fits. At the funeral scene, Joan Allen witnesses Castors wife telling Travolta ‘take care of our son, don’t let him grow up to be like us’. Granted the older daughters face raking at the end is weird but I understand why they brought him home lol.
