Could be the case that Subaru has gone back in time, due to the fact that the island’s existence doesn’t seem to support Abel’s ideology that well especially paired with Cecilus’ lack of knowledge. This can be further reinforced by the fact that when Abel rose to power, the island rebelled suggesting that some change occurred between leaders causing outrage among the island, possibly due to the fact that Abel would not be keen on needless violence and bloodshed. I can also not see any other way Subaru taking down a mabeast unless the guy he team up with have fight experience and these would a cool way to take the fact were we only see Subure losing his memories and being child ase a bad thing maybe this well be a positive side like how when Subaru was a result he could not work with louis but when he turn into a kid he was able to work with her pretty effectively.

Knowing of the Demon City of Chaos Flame makes since considering Yorna's age and how often she aimed for the emperors head. Al would've been known as the only man to escape the gladiator island if you take into account that he's around 40 years old and Cessy is around Subaru's current age. I think there will be a story about Al's escape after Subaru survives this trial. also, Vincent became Emperor 7 years before Subaru was teleported to the re zero world. Subaru got isekai'd at 17 years old and is currently roughly 10 years old in child form. Cessy is said to be around the same age in kid form and is around 20 when Subaru gets isekai'd. the ages all add up.

He was cursing the Empires ideals this chapter despite having to gradually accept them, atleast while he is within their borders so i think after being cornered in one of the fights and tiring out any pacifist ideas he might have to kill someone and that will engrave the theme further into his character, it would be an interesting develepmont considering how much he tries to save everyone because it is techincally possible with his RBD power while now having to do the opposite.

I kinda dont know where this is going. Aside from the insane amount of characters supposedly active this arc, the sequence of the events just kinda throws me off (mostly because of the teleporting plot device and lack of structure). Straight off the bat, I dont like that Subaru is still a child at this point in time. The only reason it could be justifiable in my opinion is for it to add something important to his character (idk like fixing his hero complex or somesht) since we already got the Natsumi cosplay possibly for a little fan service, I think its excessive to have him transform into a child in the same Arc "just because" to up the difficulty / add some shock value to his deaths / easy tension. Athough, violence against children has always been present in rezero, I dont like how its used to restrain the abilities Subaru acquired throughout the story (eg. parkour, mental library of tactics, etc. I dont even know when he'll use other authorities cuz im pretty sure he forgot about that too). Anyways, cheers for reading this useless rant.
