I wonder how curses bind to the target. By speculations we have seen that there are curses that bind to soul in case of Iris and second (might be?) Binding to Od. Is there any information on how powerful can a curse can be? Like obviously, nobody can put a curse that basically ends the world, right? According to my theory the curses that bind to the soul are connected to the name, so something like Spica's authority should able to remove the curse if the name at the time of curse is known. The curse that bind with the body, like say for example Capella's blood are rather interesting. I haven't come to an understanding about the theory regarding it. Also another theory I want to state is about "counter curse" Say for example, someone places another curse on top of an already existing curse. If the conditions of the new curse contradict the conditions of the former then will the effect of curses cancel out or any one would win? This idea is something that i feel might be cooked in the future. The idea of counter curse might be dependent on the power of the casters more likely.

its magic, so the limits of magic are in place. i think all curses bind the soul to some degree, as a specular image of divine blessings and authorities. magic, curses, db, authorities working onthe same base principles should be correct (after all subaru copies authorities with regular magic). the stronger curse impose on the weaer one but get weakened proportionally.

Isn't the counter curse what is happening with Subaru? He has innactive dog curses and very active dragon curse but they are both battling each other in equal battle so dragon is not capable of harming him. It's kinda a cheat code how to turn cursed dragon blood into normal healing one.

@@galedex5661 I didn't mean it that way, I meant that both the curses should be active. From my understanding of the curse activity, it's basically like a virus file waiting to be executed. A virus file is nothing but an ordinary file that can be deleted easily, but once executed you can't stop the virus. Too many virus files scattered around would be hard to find out, in case of subaru's multiple inactive curses. I don't think that the multiple inactive curses are useless as a plot, but with current logic that i believe I won't like to say that the curses cause capella blood to not play it's effect.

Yo we have had like 4 chapters in a row of characters essentially fighting clones. Its like a hat on a hat. Same thing with Todd and Vincent. Does an arc this dense really need similar abilities or similar characters?

My biggest complaint of the last 3 chapters is that I don't give a shit at all about the fight that's happening. I don't care about seeing Hallibel or Eugard fight, nor do I even vaguely care about the history that's between them because werewolves were nearly driven to extinction because of him. This sentiment really does carry forward to Arc 7 and 7.5 as a whole. It started off strong, but ever since after chaosflame it became an unbearable slog right after that point. I can't wait for this botched arc to be over and to get straight to the resolutions.
