RE0 HAS A BRAND NEW RANDOMIZER

It makes all those hours of work worth it :-). A little technical insight: the randomizer places all items to ensure it's always possible to reach the boss level :D.

Can I just say that no matter how many times I see RE1R or RE0, I cannot get over how absolutely gorgeous these games look? These games looked incredible 20+ years ago, and some games look so artificially fake now in 2023.

I think the ammo thing is unintentional. Looked like whatever it replaced would be how much ammo dropped. You got 15 flame rounds from a handgun drop and anytime you got it from a herb (for example) it would only be one ammo. I think it is tied to what the ammo replaced as the pickup.

Yes that's true. The Randomizer replaces the item Id only. It does not change the whole data structure of the original item so the amount of the randomized item will be the one of the original item I first thought about fixing it, but then I decided to keep it because I found it funny and more "random" ... You can also get 15 grenades or rockets, in case the original item is a handgun ammo with 15 bullets. This is also the reason why you cannot use the machine gun with the randomizer - the amount of the machinegun is not the number of bullets but a percentage value of how many bullets are left in your mag. So the best you can actually randomize is a mag with 15% of bullets left lol. The amount is also ignored if the item is not stackable, like first aid sprays or herbs.

As someone who doesn't play and stream these games 24/7, I completely disagree about segmented randomizers being better. Maybe less annoying if you have to do it 50 times. But the added challenge of finding everything or losing is the whole point of a randomizer. At the very least, there should be an option in the settings for segmented or not segmented. That way, both types of players can have what they want.

Capcom sort of did something like different characters in multiplayer affecting the story In MegaMan the power fighters 2 what characters you picked in multiplayer specifically would get you different endings. Aka MegaMan and bass together would get a different endings than MegaMan and protoman ect

For real! I'm so glad! I don't have a pc so I don't get to play these mods but I highly enjoy watching bawk and other RE content makers play them. Makes me wish capcom would include a randomizer in every game that u could unlock maybe after u beat the hardest difficulty. Each rando could have assisted,standard, and hardcore option. Assisted could be like the n64 rando in re2 where it was just ammo and health items, then standard have that and just a few enemies rando, then hardcore be everything rando. Shit, capcom could even make a randomizer a paid DLC and majority of people would buy it.

It is, they very much do NOT like fire and Molotovs kill them faster than bullets outside of Flame Rounds from the Grenade Launcher.

Hell ya! Re0 gets unnecessary hate from people in my opinion (majority of the people who dislike 0 is because of the no storage box) it did something different but not so different that it takes away from the core theme of resident evil

Yeah Ive always been pretty impressed with the atmosphere, music, and how it scared the crap out of me when I rented this back in the good ol GameCube days. I actually did fall into some of the flawed callouts like sending Billy up and having to backtrack for green chemical with Rebecca. But I guess I had a lot of patience and didn't rage quit lol. I'm cool with Capcom trying new ideas, just is what it is and learned to roll with it lol

IKR??? I played the og RE first and then I played the og RE2 after that, when I played RE0 for the first time I was really impressed with the game. It was so diferent from my expectations and now it's one of my favorite RE games so far, I think it's even better than CVX. For me CVX it's overrated compared with RE0. Can't wait for Capcom to release a remastered version or a remake of CVX.

41:48 Nah dude. The item box is just for lazy people and leaving things on the ground adds some realism to the game, that's a unique feature compared to other RE games. I agree that Capcom could fix some stuff but the item management it's cool just like that.

If they do remake zero they should add a way to go into the sewers underneath raccoon city/ the RPD as a hidden ending option. End it with getting ambushed by human Birkin

And since we know Rebecca's story I think that should be a Billy section. Imagine if we could play him getting to raccoon as it's just breaking out, he sets fires and other stuff jill has to deal with in re3 and his goal is to hide out in the sewers and watches the Birkin transformation and hunting the operatives from his perspective. And it would change cannon but could you imagine if Hunk actually died in the sewers and Billy uses Hunks uniform and his own military training to get a ride out of town and either because he was the only survivor and/or he completed their mission he got signed on and remains under the alias of Hunk. Could be interesting, even as just a mod
