Despite what many have commented, the techniques for extending your base limits STILL WORK! In this video, I'll not only break down how to do this properly, but also what you might be doing wrong.
There's also another reason to extend those limits -- and that's to build an awesome base as part of your settlement!

Like some of the other comments say, if you're having trouble getting it to work, save, quit and log back in and it should work. Just got the first of my grid laid down after 15 to 30 minutes of beating my head against the wall trying to get it to work.

It's always worked for me on the PS5. Sometimes I'll get to 300', place a wall, Then run ahead 40' and it says I'm out of range. Make a save and reload. That usually fixes it. Good tutorial. I can usually get all 5 resources with a little planning.

Great guide man. I'm sure those graphics will go a long way for new players. I don't know if it changed with the last patch, but the bubbles resetting was just a load error. I've always been able to simply reload and pick up where I left off.

Of course it still works. Just started back playing again,after about a year off. Lots and Lots to do,and most things are still the same. Look at older videos like 3 years old or older you find alot of the OG tips are still relevant.

Its kinda working for me, after placing it turns invisible. I can only see it again from the build menu within the 50u

Only issue ive ever had was coming back at a later time and wanting to add to the emg grid and find that it doesnt let me despite me having parts there already

Great advice, but if my EMG if outside of the 300 zone of the base, how do I get power back to the base? The wire won't go that far

I'm surprised. I've been doing this for the last two years. I have never NOT been able to do this. I am not sure how people haven't been able to do this. I have extended a base even 1200 units. This is really surprising to hear.

What if you placed a Base station instead of save beacon in a hotspot? Can you have an EMG station power another base?

I'm building an underwater base. So I'll just tunnel to the edge of my current base limit. then there will be like 5 or 10 U gap with watertight doors. And I'll just have two bases instead. I dont care about powering both makes no difference at all as I will still need to build enough solar panels to power everything. I think seprating those power grids would help with performance alot to. As having millions of battery and solar panels all in one spot will hurt performance.
