I finally at age 58 put down my religious pride to read the bible and follow the truth wherever its leads. I read the bible to know more about Jesus never thought about leaving the catholic church EVER! but here i am left the catholic church because it does not lined up with the bible. In their weakness, while Peter repented to become a saint, Judas repented only to the point of feeling remorse & self destruction. The Church Jesus established has both saints and sinners. The sanctity of His Church is based on saints and not sinners It is justified to believe in the same Jesus who gave the keys to Peter to manage the affairs of His Kingdom until He returns. Everyone has different opinions and God respects our free will. "And to these people you shall say, 'Thus says the Lord: See, I am setting before you the way to life and the way to death.. " Jer 21:8

I suggest you look at what the Bible has to say about who saints are. They are believers in Jesus as Son of God and the Messiah. It is man that has said they are something else. So Peter was a saint when he believed in Jesus not later. That is a false teaching by the RCC. Paul refers to the recipients of his letters as saints. The way to life or salvation is through Jesus, not any religion. "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father (salvation) except through me." (John 14:6) So salvation is in Jesus, not a religion. Ephesians 2:8-9 also shows this "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast."

For a whole year Jesus taught her 15 Prayers and attached Promises to anyone who repeats these Prayers continuously for a year - the 1st Promise being - Jesus will deliver 15 souls of his/her lineage from Purgatory. ( Note - you can check the Internet under - The 15 Prayers of St. Bridget - and also view the Promises. ) And in the 1930's, not yet a hundred years ago, Jesus appeared almost daily to a Polish Nun, Sr. Faustina, and taught her the following prayer - Eternal Father, I offer you the Body & Blood, Soul & Divinity of your dearly Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. In atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and the whole world. - This is in line with The Lord's Prayer which is pluralistic with the words - Our, Us, We, etc. (( Note = Sr Faustina kept a Diary of Jesus visits which is available from book-stores with its Title - Divine Mercy in My Soul I urge you to purchase a copy and read it. )) In 1995, Jesus appeared to a Nigerian named Barnabas and gave him the Devotion to His Precious Blood. Mary has appeared in many places like Lourdes, France and Fatima, Portugal, and Guadalupe, Mexico City, Mexico - among many other places and at different times. Moreover, She has appeared for 3 years nightly over a Coptic Church in Zeitoun, Egypt and pictures of her are available on the Internet. Lastly, before the Catholic Church declares a person - Saint - 2 first class miracles must be attributed to that deceased person - miracles which are mostly authenticated by non-Catholic doctors and professionals. On the other hand, the agents of Satan, Communists and Masons - aka Free-Masons - have long sought to infiltrate the Catholic Church clergy and thus undermine its teachings In the 1960's, ex-Communist executive of the Communist Party of USA, Bella Dodd testified before the US Congress that the Communists had sent over a 1,000 men into Catholic seminaries (( Note - this can be checked on the Internet. )) Undoubtedly, the Catholic Church has been favoured by our Living God and at the same time has been the target of God's enemies - because she represents the Truth regarding her Doctrine. Secondly, The Bible is, historically, a dated book as it records only to the 1st Century. Thus we read only the deaths of Judas and James but not about the other 10 Apostles or of Paul as to when, where and how they died. Does it mean that, because their deaths are not recorded, that they are still alive ?? Obviously not. Paul declares the Bible - useful and profitable - in 2 Timothy 3:16, but that the Church is the Bulwark and Pillar of Truth - 1 Timothy 3:15. That is because the Church, the community of Believers, came first - Matthew 16:18 - and incorporates both the written word as well as the oral tradition - 2 Thessalonians 2:15. And the Bible declares that Jesus performed a = World of Works = which are unrecorded - John 21:25. As a result 2 traditions ensued - oral and written - 2 Thess. 2:15 - which are of equal merit. By "Sola Scriptura" Protestants are only receiving part of Divine Truth thus resulting in so many denominations. The Catholic Church was founded on Peter's declaration of Jesus' Divinity - Matt. 16:16 and Jesus' promise - Matt 16:17-19- and holds to both traditions. It is the Church of the Living God and the Pillar and Bulwark of Truth - 1 Timothy 3:15

I was raised catholic, and went to the catholic church my entire childhood into adulthood (against my will mostly😉). My entire family remains catholic. I was never saved, until later in life when I became SO lost, and finally begged God to show me the TRUTH about who He was and how to serve Him. He led me to read His Word, and He gave me discernment through His holy spirit to discern His word, and I came under fear of the Lord, as I finally came to understand that I was NOT a good person, and that I needed a savior desperately, and finally understood what Jesus did for me on the cross, and who He was. I turned from my sins, and put my faith in Jesus alone, and I was born again. He also opened my eyes instantly to see that the practices of the catholic church were not biblical. I never went back to that church, and now go to a spirit filled church that follows true biblical doctrine. The one thing that always makes me have a little difficulty when confronting the question of whether my family, who remain catholic are saved, is that the Lord said, we will know them by their fruits. My mother and grandmother are the most kind, loving, gentle, faithful, long-suffering, honest people I know of. So giving also. And they genuinely seemed to love the Lord, even though they are deceived about the truth. It's so hard for me to imagine my sweet, always praying grandmother, or mother could be in hell right now. The catholic church deceives its followers greatly, but many are genuinely trying to do what they think is the right thing. Yet, I know....that if they read the Word, they should depart from those unbiblical practices. The allegiance seems to be to the church and the saints and Mary, and not the Lord. I've tried repeatedly to reach through to my mother, but she is absolutely convinced she must never leave the catholic practices. I also want to add that you are exactly right. It wasn't until, through the Word, that I understood I was a sinner against God and was headed to the torments of hell, thst I finally understood WHY Jesus died on that cross, and that it was the most precious gift we could recieve! That led to fear of the Lord, fear of being separated and judged, and I came to GENUINE repentance, and genuinely understood for the first time who Christ was. It changed everything. I became transformed by His Word, saved by His grace and His spirit. I was blind, but now I can see. I can hear the voice of my Shepard, and He alone is GOOD.

Thank you for sharing this with us, Heather. I rejoice in the knowledge that the LORD led you on the right path. Praise be to our God! As to your mother and grandmother, it is a difficult situation. They, most probably, were brought up from early childhood with the notion that the Catholic church is the only way....and it became a life-long habit. It is good that you have tried to share the Gospel with your mother. Now, all you can do, is to leave it in God's hands. Pray for her. Fasting (if you can) is also highly recommended (see Exodus 34:27-28; Luke 2:36-38; 2 Samuel 12:15-23). Pray that her eyes may be open one day, that she will see the Truth. Remember, we are not saved by good works. Even the nicest, kindest, most loving person can end up badly because they refuse to follow Christ. Our God gave us a set of rules to follow in this life. These are lasting commandments for God does not change His mind about His law. The first one goes like this: "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind." Matthew 22:37 We are here to love God first and foremost. Above any human. Loving thy neighbour must always come second. So even the nicest person who loves every human- but does not love God the way that He is supposed to be loved (John 14:15; Matthew 19:17; Leviticus 22:31 and elsewhere)- is breaking the very first Commandment. It is truly heart-breaking but people who are stiff-necked are deciding their own fate (2 Kings 17:13-14).

Heather, thank you for sharing your testimony and praise the Father for His grace and mercy! Jesus wrote to the church of Thyatira in Revelation 2:18 to 29. This letter describes the church of the middle ages, the rise of the Roman Catholic church. He said in verse 19 that "I know thy works, and charity (love), and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works..." Jesus knows the love in the hearts of his people that are in this "church". In verse 24, He continues, "unto the rest of Thyatira, as many as HAVE NOT THIS DOCTRINE... And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations". The doctrine He spoke about were those who 'loved the church' more than Him. If the love of God shines into this world from your family members and not the love of the church, then God has sealed them.

Ask your pastor why did Jesus say to eat his flesh and drink his blood in John Chapter 6 3x and those unbelievers left him. Are you and your pastor also an unbeliever? Your pastor will tell you Jesus was talking metaphorically, but you know what? In the whole gospel of John, John did not mention nor talk about any parable. In the last supper did Jesus say This is MY BODY or did he say pretend that this is my body? Did he say this is symbollically my body? Only the Catholic Church can give you his Body. In Matthew 16:18-19 Jesus established a Church, 1 church. Not churches. Do you know which Church DARES to claim it has been founded by Jesus? Have you tried to google, who founded the Catholic Church and then you can google, who founded YOUR pastors church or who founded the anglican church or who founded the churches down your street. Funnily all of those PROTESTANT churches are founded by mere MAN. Guess which Church was founded by Jesus Christ. In the same 2 verses, Jesus said the Gates of hell will not prevail against the Church, That would mean that Church is still around, or Jesus is LYING. Which is? You have been cheated by the false prophets and preachers who preach to you things they do not understand and lead you and themselves to their death. 2 Peter 3:16. Have you asked where did your bible come from? Why were there more than 300 books and letters but only 73 was chosen? Did you know the very first KJV had 80 books? It was called the KJV 1611. don't need to trust me, just google it and ask around. Guess WHO and which Church had the AUTHORITY that canonized the Bible? meaning, to give u the bible u have today? It does not erase the dogma in the Catholic Church surrounding Mary, nor does it erase the prayers to Mary through the use of the rosary. Secondly, Jesus did establish ONE church that is APOSTOLIC, not Apostate. Matthew 16:18 is the Catholic "go to" passage to try to assert dominance but there is NOTHING in there that anointed Peter as Pope. The Church was first established in Jerusalem with Jesus as the JEWISH Rabbi and his 12 disciples which were also JEWISH. Thirdly, you are not the authority on who is led by the Holy Spirit when reading the Scriptures. I ignore a lot of Catholic babbling for the simple reason that this is what it is, babble. There is no other name by which man is saved but that of Jesus (Acts 4:12) . He alone is our "mediator" between God and man (1 Tim. 2:5). John 6:54. #transubstantiation= the priests are using Jesus as a "call boy". Remember, at the time of the last supper, Jesus had not yet shed his blood. I not even going into all the lying signs and wonders that surround the Catholic Church...its a waste of time. In regard to Mary, you prove yourselves liars on a continual basis through your actions...(those speak louder than words). See, you condemn yourselves with your own words... earlier you said, "we ask Mary to intercede for us TO BRING US CLOSER TO HER SON." Prayer is a form of worship... And you admitted using the rosary which is a prayer to her. Also, I never said that Mary was "higher" than any other human beings"...YOU DID. Jesus gave Mary to John to look after her....not to tell the world that she is our mother. As a woman, I can look to Mary as an example of how to carry myself as a "woman of God", but in Luke 1:46, we hear her say: "Then Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!" If Mary was without original sin, she has no need to proclaim need of a savior. And to say that she remained a virgin is to completely ignore human biology and anatomy. Joseph and Mary had children AFTER the birth of Christ, and this is proven in the Scriptures....but Catholics ignore this because it disrupts your dogmas surrounding her. In Matthew 16:18 we see that Jesus starts a church but in Greek, that church is ekklesia and does not remotely resemble the CC or any religion. So my question stands.

Jesus or the disciples never said Mary was sinless, assumed, to be prayed to, leads people to Christ, or Paul was the first pope. These are man-made traditions. I’d have to say that all of his objections have solid Catholic answers. I will continue to listen to his videos though as they continue to pop up in my feed because I am always open to hearing someone out on what they believe. :) One warning I’d have is that he likes to tell anecdotes about interactions he has had with Catholic priests. It’s almost like an inverse appeal to authority argument where he discusses how he has stumped them on questions about the Bible. They are interesting stories, but just because one priest didn’t have an answer to his particular question doesn’t mean that there isn’t an answer. I see videos where Catholics stump Protestants. I have seen videos where Trinitarian Protestants use analogies of the Trinity that are heretical. This doesn’t disprove their theology, it just means that they don’t have a strong grasp on a particular subject. The Catholic Church has been around a long time, it has answers to these questions if you look. Please keep me and my family in your prayers and I will pray for you all as well.

I have found a deeper love and devotion to our Lord in the Catholic Church than I have ever experienced before. There are solid answers to all of those verses. I am not going to hash out the same debates happening in the comment sections all over FB. I would just welcome anyone who is curious to look into what the Catholic Church says about these verses. Not what someone who is against Catholicism says Catholics believe about these verses. I understand where you are coming from because I struggled through these in my conversion. I actually didn’t want to become Catholic. I was fairly anti-Catholic. It was the Holy Spirit that guided me into the church. I have never felt more peace with God than I do in Catholicism. It has the love of Mother Teresa and intellectual curiosity of Thomas Aquinas. The devotions are beautiful and a wonderful way to grow more in love with Christ daily.

It amazes me how he could spend 1 hour talking badly about the Catholic Church instead of using this precious time everybody gathered to study the Bible (the most important thing in their lives). Very accurate! I know all he speaks of, learned it at school and family! He really doesn’t know the faith he left, yet sets himself up to condemn that he doesn’t know! Catholics believe in all he says to a large degree. Yet he rejects what Jesus himself says. For him there is no Eucharist, but John 6 could not be clearer. This is my body! Christianity is the logical progression from Judaism, as Jesus came not to change the law but to perfect it! His understanding of the priesthood is so flawed. It’s almost laughable we’re it not so seriously sad. Remember, Jesus gave the keys to the Kingdom to a man, Peter, to continue the teaching that he gave to his followers. Redemption is final, but acceptance of this is necessary. This message has to be got out there, again in human form and terms. No priest stands in for Christ! Jesus does not change what he has said all along it is still about a belief and now he spells it out as a total belief. V60 Hard teaching, This was against Levitical law to eat a human and to drink blood. Jesus was under this law and cannot nor would not change it. Act 15:29 also mentions this pagan ritual. Notice then in v67 he asked the 12 if they wanted to leave and their response was No because they *BELIEVE* in Jesus. John 6 is a lesson in belief!

The answer is that there is no date for the Catholic church. Simply because Jesus didn't start the Catholic church. The Catholic church started the Catholic church. Jesus was the one who said that the words he had just spoken in John 6, were spirit, and THEY gave life. He said the flesh profits NOTHING. That is strengthened by grace. A word seldom used by Catholics. Now Hebrews 7: 27, talking about the High Priest. "Who needeth NOT DAILY, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did ONCE, when He offered up himself . Now let's go to Hebrews 9. I will add this one as a bonus to you. 9-12 says, "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more." So a quick question. Why go to purgatory? And then there is 1 John 3:1-3. 3 being the key verse. It says, " "and every man that has this hope in him PURIFIETH HIMSELF, even as he is pure." Purgatory is a contradiction to this verse. We can purify ourselves by believing these three scriptures. Again, why go to purgatory. Jesus doesn't remember ours sins. Why does the church? Hebrews 9:12 reads, "neither by the blood of goats or lambs, but by his own blood he entered in ONCE into the HOLY PLACE, having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION for us." Your church teaches that the eucharist is for the forgiveness of sins, not only for the living but the dead. Now Hebrews 10. You can read Hebrews 10:1 on your own. 10: 10-12, "by the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE for all. V. 11. And every priest standeth there ministering and offering often times the same sacrifices which CAN NEVER TAKE AWAY SINS." V12, But THIS Man, after he had offered ONE sacrifice for sins FOR EVER, sat down at the right hand of the Father." V.14, For by ONE OFFERING he hath perfected FOR EVER them that are sanctified." Ok, si I'll keep in mind that the church has given itself sole authority to interpret scripture, but what do all these scriptures mean? What I don't find in John is the following. Where in scripture does it say that only the priest can conduct the mass? If this is really Jesus in the flesh, what does the priest do with the leftover flesh and blood? Does he return Jesus to heaven? What about the blood? Whenever we come across the word 'church' in the NT it is always the same Greek word. Which is Ekklesia. There is only one meaning to this word and that is People taken out of the world and into God's kingdom. The result is his church, the Body of Christ. Jesus's church are his believers. It never refers to any institution such as the CC. You: "As far as Peter being "the rock", I am praying for guidance, and that the Holy Spirit leads me gently." Read this in the Greek Peter=Petros= a small movable rock Rock=petra=an immovable natural rock usually used in building a foundation. Lie #2 Mr. Gendron states that there was two streams of Christianity running side by side from the beginning. 1 true Church, and 1 Apostate Church. Throughout the New Testament, we see 1 Church. What we do see, are the heretical sect called the Gnostics pop up. In the early centuries, there was the true Church, and there were heretical sects that popped up and went away. There wasn’t two streams of Christianity, there were the Church Fathers, who belonged to the Catholic Church, and there were the heretical sects, who were not considered Christian, so what Mr. Gendron is saying is biblically and historically false. If there was such a thing then maybe you can name 3 of the leaders of this true Church after biblical times. Tell me who they were and show me their writings. Lie #3 Catholics do not keep the Mosaic law. This is what Paul is talking about when he speaks of works of the law. The Jews held to the Mosaic law, Christian’s do not. The only denomination that I know of that keeps the law are the SDA’s. Jesus is the one mediator between God and man, but there are thousands of intercessors between Christ and man. Mary is an intercessor between Christ and man, just like we are for each other. Mary’s title of mediatrix arises from her cooperation in the Incarnation and in the Redemption of mankind. Through her “yes” (Lk 1:38), she became the Theotokos (God-bearer), and, as the “New Eve,” she is “the Mother of all living.” Irenaeus (A.D. 120-200) wrote, “As by a virgin the human race had been bound to death, by a virgin it is saved, the balance being preserved, a virgin’s disobedience by a virgin’s obedience” (Against Heresies, 3, 22, 19). Eve made the Fall possible, but Adam effected it; Mary made our Redemption possible (by consenting to bring the Savior into the world), but Jesus effected it. God permitted the Redemption of mankind to depend on the free-will decision of a human being. The Bible says our Jewish Messiah, Yeshua Jesus, gave the gospel to His Jewish disciples and apostles, and they compiled the canon of the Bible, as well as wrote the New Testament under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. After all, salvation was to the Jew first then to the Gentiles. I do not see in my Bible that Catholics compiled the Bible, I read it was the Jewish disciples of our Jewish Messiah, who protected the ancient scrolls throughout thousands of years. We Catholics have a proverb always proven true in reality about one’s width of reading, depth of study, and height of understanding of the Bible and where this leads to: “Weak Catholics become Evangelicals; Strong Evangelicals become Catholics.” Mike Gendron was obviously a weak Catholic! You Evangelicals who follow him evangelizing Catholics, I invite you to read, study, and understand the Bible ever more fully. They clearly don't know the difference between Holy Spirit authorship, and random writings from men!??! This is obviously because they don't know the Lord Jesus personally; so they are unable to recognise the authentic and "God breathed" Holy and true Scripture, from what isn't!!! Even your protestant brothers in faith who know history would tell you to be quiet now as you have exposed your ignorance on the subject. This also shows that you are somewhat illiterate or cannot follow a conversation as I proved 20+ examples of where there is correlation from the deuterocanonical scripture to the NT scripture. By your logic you have no way to : 1) establish a correct cannon, as you gave an answer to it that shows you are ignorant about history and the bible in general. 2) No way to prevent early church heresies such as Arianism, Nestorinism, Docetism, etc..3) You rely on what a bunch of heretics dictated 500 years ago because of personal and political reasons, and thus you have fallen into their trap, hook, line, and sinker. 4) You rely on what you feel (I am assuming from what you mentioned) with your spiritual eyes and heart- then by that logic, how is the Quran or the Book of Mormon any different then as they make the same claims that you do, as well as accepting Jesus. Lastly, I will pray for you as you obviously do not know church history and regular history, as well as lacking the ability to have coherent thoughts on a subject.
