What you encountered instead of rush was known as Ambush. Ambush has a rare chance of replacing rush where he usually appears. He's a bit faster than rush but the kicker is he can come back around 2-6 times.

note: for seek (aka the eye monster), you have to look both sides very quick. If the door isn't left or right (you can tell because it has a blue light if it's the correct door) it is straight ahead. After you find the right doors, there is another big room, similar to the start where there are hands and fire. Stay away from the hands and the fire and you should make it.

Hey Dawko! One of my favourite Roblox horror games has to be Pinstripe Murders. It's absolutely stunning in design, very much like old PS1 games, and it's horror is genuinely scary! It has two chapters so far, the first being long and the second being quite a lot shorter. It's also singleplayer and multiplayer!

I know this is late, but here's a tip!! On room 100, as soon as the figure's cutscene is over, IMMEDIATELY hide under the closest bed (the one to the right). Do the minigame, and once the figure is out of your sight, SPRINT TO THE ELEVATOR. There will be a key you need to access the next minigame there. I'm not gonna spoil the rest and I know you said you weren't gonna do it again, but if you do somehow end up doing it, there's my tip lol

You got ambush quickly in the game which is quite lucky if you ask me, ambush is like rush, but when he goes in the room he exits back to the previous rooms for a second or three, he then comes back, you have to get out of the closet when he exits, then when you hear him coming back in you get back in so you can avoid getting kicked out by hide. this process can repeat 2-4ish times(the amount it takes for hide to kick you out decreases the more you progress) which is why you survived so easily cause you were early in.

So dawko during door 50 crouch walk the figure will not hear you unless he is close to you. seek look left and right dont panic use vitamins when you mess up to recover. Screech once you hear the psst look around for screech and stare him down he will jumpscare you but will not do any damage. For screech if you use a lighter or flashlight screechs chances to pop up decrease severly so always use lighter in dark rooms (not including rooms whose lights were knocked out by rush or ambush and rooms that have some lights it has to be pitch black) also if screech jumps you more than once in the same room even if you counter him he still takes a chunk out of your health. Ambush he rarely replaces rush on earlier levels but pops up on the 90 levels when lights flicker he goes back and forth once he passes get out and get back in you can disern rush and ambush by how violently the lights flicker and their screams ambush can pass back and forth up to 5 times i think. Halt when the screen goes static turn around and run then repeat until you get to the door. Figure on door 100 can sense your heartbeat run back to door 99 and hide and the breathing game will begin stop hiding when he goes to room 98. Jack and timothy are both rare unavoidable encounters jack just screams when you open his locker timothy will jump you when you open his drawer and do a tiny bit of damage. Anyone can use this guide and i hope it helps

Hey Dawko, for JR's I figured out how you do the conveyer belt! When fixing them, the conveyer belt shows when they're ready. Then when they're at the bottom you can access the door in the office and fix them! It's pretty cool. I advise you give it a try next time! :)

dawko, heres what you have to do for most of the monsters! rush: if you hear a loud static shouting noise or if the lights flicker, hide in either a closet, under a bed or in a vent. screech: if you hear psst in the dark, look around and stare at it, it will do a lil jumpscare but wont hurt you if you catch it. (sometimes you can hear psst but screech wont be there, but still recommend looking just incase!) ambush: basically rush, but goes back and forth a bunch of times, get out of ur hiding spot everytime it goes away and then go right back in once you hear it again. figure: hes blind, but is drawn to sound. crawl everytime hes near. hide in a closet if he gets too close, you might have to do a little heartbeat minigame though, just click at the right times, its pretty easy. seek: just run from him, hes kind of slow, but he can catch up to you if you mess up and go the wrong way. halt: just run, but if your screen says turn around or if it just shows static for a second, turn around and run the other way. repeat this process and you'll make it out eventually. eyes: just dont look.

With Door 100, you need to hide first, you will have the heartbeat minigame, wait for him getting close to the door 99 then RUN to the top, take the key, Open the door then you will have to do a puzzle. To dawko: in doors there are 100 rooms you need to beat, room 50 and 100 have a boss, if you beat level 100 you escape and get a badge. Theres RUSH, lights flicker and he appears, AMBUSH, he is like rush but goes more than one time past you, EYES you cant look at him, he will atack you if you do, SEEK will follow you until a certain point, HALT will spawn randomly when opening a door and will atack you, GLITCH will jumpscare you if you are left behind and your friends are far too away, SCREECH will pssst and atack you if you dont look at him, only appears when its dark, JACK there is (1/2000) chances you encounter him in a recent opened door and (1/20) chances hes in a closet, HIDE will damage you if you stay too long in a wardrobe or a bed, TIMOTHY will appear randomly on a looting place damaging you, WINDOW doesnt harm you in any way, it just appears and stays there, SHADOW, unknown chance of appearing, the lights will flicker when you get jumpscared and can be seen half a second

Dawko! A big help thing (this took me long) When you're in the last boss fight you first have to run to the closest closet and make sure you know the monster is far enough. Then you have to go up then right and search for a key, once u have it go down and look for a electric box. its a very hard puzzle so then there are gonna be numbers and a screen with numbers and blocks but when there comes a number on screen and that block next to it is not yellow(?) Then don't click it on the numbers below(im sorry if it's confusing bc im not English lol) when there appears a other number and the box is yellow, you'll have to click the number, you have to do that till the 3 boxes are all yellow. Once you are done with that you'll have to run again up and find the lift! And then u escaped doors. I'm really sorry if it was confusing, i wish i could send photos or draw in the comments😔. here's some hints dawko, incase you'll play the game again with any other player like 8-bitryan: Seek: just run and don't stop. if you see a blue sparkles/light at a door while you're running, that's the right door. incase you took the other side accidentally, you can turn around and take the other side ASAP. this monster costs an immediate death. (btw new update you need to crouch at the falling book shelves to get to the other side) The Figure: it doesn't sees you, but hears very well. you can crouch if "the figure" was around, gives it less sound effects to "the figure". this monster costs an immediate death. Screech: when you hear "psst", immediately try to find the thing you were avoiding. this monster only shows up in dark areas/rooms and it's almost impossible to it to appears in light places. not finding it in time costs 52% damage. Rush: when you listen to cues or seeing flicks, go to the closest closet or a bed and wait out of the hiding spot till you make sure that the monster is coming. sometimes it doesn't come for some reason. this monster costs an immediate death Hide: minimize the time you spend in hiding spots. otherwise something bad happens. you can hide longer by get out and get in the hiding spot. this monster costs 55% damage. Eyes: when you start seeing purple light and a little darkness is being created, just look away. this monster costs 15% damage. but be careful, staring at it for 3 seconds may costs death. Halt: when you see a static, turn around and go forward. this monster is tricky because it changes the amount of time between the statics. if you're almost at the door and you saw a static, you still need to turn around. Ambush: basically, like "Rush" but a little different. "Ambush" will run past twice, and repeat this process a random amount of times i hope this helps you out with the game and good luck!

i’m 9th (edit: 2nd) on the speed running leaderboard atm, and there are a few tips which may help you: -During the seek chases, look right but run left when given a split path. If you see lights on the right door then run to the right door. If you don’t see lights on the right door, continue running left and either go in the left door with lights or carry on to the door on the other side. -If you stay crouched in the library and far away from Figure he will very rarely target you. You also need to collect all the books before you complete the code (the last book will always give you a number that you need). -At room 100, it is possible to just run straight up the stairs after the cutscene but it is recommended to just hide in a closet and do the heartbeat mini game. -After the heartbeat minigame in room 100, wait for Figure to leave the room before leaving the closet. Don’t worry, you can’t get kicked out of the lockers by Hide in room 100.

If you want to 100% the game for no reason. Then here’s a few entities you need to encounter for their badges. Timothy. He is a spider that appears in drawers uncommonly. (This also counts to room 50 or other set rooms). Timothy will jump at your face and damage you for 5% of your health. Jack. He is a head that resembles a human head. But he’s greyish. He appears in wardrobes and when opening doors. Finding jack through the doors is 1/2000 chance and when it happens. Then the room will be colored red for a few seconds as a Easter egg. But jack appears in wardrobes more often than the doors. The jumpscare is just him screaming for a short time, and he also lets you not take the wardrobes for a few seconds. (I know he got the badge. I’m just telling him.) Glitch. He is a glitchy figure that resembles seek. They’re not familiar with eachother tho. To encounter glitch. You need to be in multiplayer and don’t follow your teammates. Just stay in a room. If you do that. Glitch will come towards you and you take 40% damage and you get teleported to your teammates. He can also appear in singleplayer if the game does a failsafe. Except you won’t take damage from failsafe glitch. There’s another variant of glitch that is red. In my guesses, It’s connected with jack’s 1/2000 red room. So it’s a 1/2000 chance to encounter the red glitch when opening a door. This is not triggered by failsafe btw. Playing with a friend. Join a game with a roblox friend. Expert technician. Do the room 100 puzzle in under 60 seconds. Idk that’s all I think except for the death badges.

tips for if you attempt this game again: Rush: you will often hear him before he is able to kill you, this means you dont have to hide right away Ambush: this character is a far more aggressive version of Rush, he attacks multiple times when he shows up, he also has a different sound from Rush The Figure: He's blind, but his other senses are far superior than yours, he will only notice you if he gets too close or if you run, at which point you must hide, The Figure is very buggy sometimes and has been seen flying across the map, its very funny to watch if it doesnt kill you Screech: He will spawn in dark rooms and will damage you by 40%, if you think that one is nearby, stare at it Seek: at rooms with two paths, look both ways before you commit to one, Seek is not as fast as you think and Vitamins can easily give you a lot of room for error Eyes: dont look at them, they have a special sound for when they spawn Jack: he will spawn in closets randomly, he knocks on the door when he spawns and will prevent you from using that hiding spot Hide: he will push you out of hiding spots if you stay in them for too long, he gets more aggressive as you progress further, he also is unable to spawn in rooms 50 and 100 Timothy: little spider that hides in drawers, jump scares you upon looking in the drawer damaging you for about 5% Halt: the lights will flicker A LOT in the room before he spawns, he will spawn behind you at first, then your screen will flicker "turn around" signaling that he will spawn in front of you, requiring you to run the other way, this will repeat several times before he lets you go Items: Vitamins: they give you a speed boost that lets you outrun seek while crouching, as well as giving you health regen for a few seconds Lockpicks: they let you unlock locked doors Flashlight: exactly how it sounds, decreases the chance of Screech spawning significantly Lighter: functions as a different light source, decreases the chance of Screech spawning significantly

Hey dawko. I got some actual guide to door 50-100. You actually have to stay crouched whilst doing objectives. However you must avoid stepping debris and staying near drawers for a prolonged time after opening it. note for Dawko, at 23:29 u can go to the left locker or under the bed on the right which is probably the safest. Once he's AWAY + NOT MOVING, that means he's at another locker. U must get out and go upstairs quickly. Rest is urs to find out (sry buddy)

At the ending, you need to hide in a closet and wait for the monster to go away. Then you need to go up and get the keys in the elevator, go back down and open the locked door, and then fix the circuit breaker to turn on the elevator. Once that is done you need to run as fast as you can back to the elevator before the demogorgon gets you and then escape.

at door 100 when you open the door for the exit go hide and wait till "The Figure" searches for you (the heart beat minigame), after it gives you it. wait till you hear a door been closed, means "The Figure" left the room. you can get out and go where "The Figure" was. and i'll leave the rest to you :)

You don't have to hide. I recommend to run straight up the stairs AS SOON as the cutscene ends, Figure will not be able to get you if you just bolt it straight up there while he's still clinging on the railing (Unless you run straight into him, but you would have to go out of your way to do that lol) get the key, get down to the power box, and then you know the rest. It saves a lot of time and is used in speedruns often (I think, if they don't, then they should start to)

small tip. never uncrouch at door 50, it's too risky. if you do happen to stand up while walking and he hears you, you can crouch and walk away. he doesn't chase you, he just goes to the position he heard the noise at.

Hide: when being in a wardrobe for too long, your screen will starts to flicker Ambush: Same as Rush but it often come 2-3 times in a row Halt: In the dark and long hallway. Your screen will see blue light and when the screen is glitching turn around The Figure: Demorgon Seek: To know that there's gonna be a seek chase there will alot of eyes in Room 1,2,3 and then you got a seek chase.*The lights will flicker because the little eyes are spawning so don't worry its not rush if you see the eyes* Eyes: Just don't look at them Timothy: It's a spider, it will be in one of the drawer in game. And it's rare Jack: It will disable you from entering the wardrobe it will dissapear for a couple second and then you can enter the wardrobe again Rush: The lights will start flickering, you need to enter the wardrobe

The monsters : I'll only say the ones you encountered to prevent spoilers. Rush : it's a speeding face that spawns when the lights flicker crazy. Screech : it likes to hide in the dark and whispers "psst!" before its attack. you can block it by looking for it when you hear the whisper and stare at it. Timothy : he is a spider that hides in drawers, he damages. and there's no way to block its attack (other than not looting) Seek : he is the one that chases you down the hallway at door 30 something The Figure : the main bad of the game, he is blind and has huge hearing. he can hear your heartbeat, steps, you trying to unlock the code and opening books. Ambush : hes a special Rush, he comes 2-4 or 6 times (hes green too, so you can tell it Ambush) Eyes : when you see a blue light, look down to the floor. this will avoid it's attack. Jack : this is the thing in the closet, it's only a scary distraction. Halt : he is a blue head that can appear in front of you at any time in specific rooms. if he appears in front of you, run the other way. do this repetitively until you make it out the specific room. *There is a monster only in multi-player you have not encountered.* *There is a monster that is only in closets you have not encountered.*

The figure is the most annoying and bugged monster. When i literally move next to him he doesnt notice me, but when i pick up a book he instantly always knows where i am. He even teleported on me and jumpscared me once.

note for dawko, when you hear the psst, look for it. When you look at it it will jumpscare you but wont take any damage.

In door 100, that door is actually mandatory. You’re meant to go where the figure spawns, to the exit elevator where you find a key and open that locked door. In there you do a little game to power it and then run as fast as you can back.

As someone who beat this game 2 times in a row.. I kept yelling at how you have to hide until he leaves the room then go up, get the key for that door that he tried to lockpick- do the puzzle then run to the elevator 😭😭

That creature you saw was ambush, count yourself lucky because he is not supposed to appear on the earliest rooms, ambush is WAY faster than rush, ambush goes back and forth 2-6 times so try not to get kicked by hide, ambush emits a green light so u know its him, ambush has a different screaming sound than rush.

Note for Dawko in your first run you did get a lot of shapes that the paper asked you to get but it wasn’t glitched the paper asked you to get a pentagon while you had a hexagon there are 8 books in the library while you had 7 I hope this helps you
