Good video, thanks! Biomass is one of those tenporary options. It is technically renewable but compared to coal, it produces more GHG per kwh of electricity because it is less efficient. As for tidal, it is wishful thinking to imagine it will help NS make a timely transition to low-enission energy. Fastest transition would be cut coal, invest in off shore and introduce a feed tariff. Expensive yes. But short term pains = long term gains.
