I'm the creator of the boss idea, their name is "TULPA", and the description by DUV is the boss talking to you through the terminal. When I make fanmade Fraud layer enemies, and bosses, I really like thinking about making more enemies that are cut from the same fabric as V1, enemies that use your own tools against you even more than the game ever has. This one is no different.

@@HelloYesAmWoman yeah, I'm so happy you had fun with my FRAUD idea. I've conceptualized that my interpretation of the enemy has a shiny baroque filigree muddled by nature's elements, and the entrapping thorns of this fraudulent layer turning, and twisting around the frame as it goes through to an insectoid butt made of MORE MIRRORS (the hideous mass way where they combine the thing perceived to be a face with the rest of the vessel's constitution). I plan to give the OG design of this enemy I did, baroque filigree bone praying mantis body structure that makes an encounter with this demon quite surreal. This is is all mist in the wind until I raise my pen however lol. it's been so great working with the team to make the project juicy, and well-written :>

This creature was originally from my interpretation of FRAUD but creator of this song here liked the idea so he made it one mutual character of our interpretations that is themed accordingly to the visuals of my version of layer 8, and his.

playing the level for the first time and i got in the last room. i was like "why is it dark here, did the level bug out?" ... until it showed up. (boss and music is insanely good holy shit. kinda wished for the final arena to be a lil bit optimized tho. actual google slides gameplay but other than that, y'all did an amazing job!)

I'm happy that it was a good spook in the campaign for ya lol! I only provided the monster's concepts, as a final concept by another artist was picked, then the rest of the fraud team just went YOLO with it, and made it the most terrifying thing ever. I'd say it's a wonderful work, and I can't wait to contribute more.

@@nosequeponeraqui19473 Before I discovered Ultrakill, I'd always draw this mirror macabre kind of design all over the place first starting out drawing headless men with mirrors where the neck and cranium should be when I was 10, gave em a straight jacket, and such. I then realized that I could take it a different direction, and while the revenant did loosely inspire me, tulpas come from a psychological technique called tulpamancy which is where you invite a new person into your body so to speak. However, handling giving yourself a complex isn't easy, and you could likely just end up turning yourself into a person run by the split personality you gave yourself. Tulpas basically are the demon that comes from this taboo practice of giving yourself an extra personality with an agency that isn't in your best interest. This monster used to prey upon mankind on earth, stealing identities, and committing horrid sins inside of bodies they did not own until god sent them down to the fraud layer.

this is peak fan music. I am still relatively new to music composition, and I have to ask, what is this effect called that sort of abrubtly cuts off the music in a repeated pattern at 0:48. I feel stupid for asking this, but I'd just like to know how you achieved that specific effect

It's a stutter effect, I can do it easily with a specific command but it's more or less just a volume automation that makes it go on and off quickly
