Skill is key, that's why. And not a lot of people within gold league aren't very skilled with driving their cars. This is the reason in my Beast X where i beat a lot of Ciens & GTs with R1 550s is because they don't drive the same as better players do.

i started in december and i use manual control and yesterday i manage to reach platinum league with my 2.112 rank bmw against ~3k cars almost in every race so it all depends on your desire to get better :)

I got to plat rank in a PR 1503 AMG GT... ITS FUN RACING AGAINST ASTERIONS ALL THE FREAKING TIME(IM RELATIVELY NEW TO THE GAME SO IDK WHATS THE DEAL WITH THAT CAR AND WHY ITS POPULAR) but the AMG GT has a good top speed and air boost(a term i may have just made up or maybe not). But a bronze league car is something else

When you are in shockwave you have shield around your car and as you said high chance to KD someone when you land on someone who is in shockwave and you arent you are gonna get KD same when you are in shockwave and Somebody try 360s you he is gonna get KD couse when you are in shockwave you have shield around and you cannot be KD 😊

Fun Fact: I also have the Challenger 392 Hemi Scat Pack (in white), however i only have it at 1 star (and it's maxed out at that star level). Although i never played multiplayer in A9, it may be a really long ride to get the car to it's 3rd star level (just saying)

You surprised me when you said that the Cien Is easier to drive than the Ford GT, I personally think the Ford GT Is much easier to drive, atleast that's my experience with a nearly maxed Ford GT and a 3 star Cien.
