LBA, LGA issues press statement over His Eminence Palga Rinpoche's recent allegation

Last year when prayer flags were hoisted at kargil gonpa in presence of his eminence then KDA had a problem and many muslim leaders were against it. Apparently same thing happened this year and the occasion was celebrated just like last year on a grand scale. Surprisingly KDA didn't have any problem this year and would allow his eminence if LBA leh permits. The same statement was given by district administration when asked for permission of visiting his eminence at kargil gonpa this year.... Unfortunately His eminence was not allowed to visit...This clearly shows how LBA and KDA has problem with his eminence visiting kargil gonpa but not with any other religious leader who did the exact same thing of hoisting tarchen and prayer flags like last year......

It was clearly told by District Magistrate of kargil to LBA youth wings branch kargil that Leh LBA told us to not give permission to His eminence Palga Rimpochay to celebrating tangpo chonga at kargil gonpa.. We fully understand that His Eminence Palga Rinpochey is well educated and an independent individual and is not under any Political influence. We have to trust his words unless there is proof otherwise. But the implications of what he does or says is deeply problematic for the unity among Buddhist community itself and more so for the unity between Leh and Kargil. Surely, wisdom must suggest that rather than saying stuff like "Mandir Wahi Banega" which has the potential to create communal disharmony, one must find better ways. Constant attack on Thupstan Tsewang weakens him and this becomes favourable for BJP as he is standing firm on 6th Schedule which BJP doesn't like. In this way, the implication of what His Eminence says becomes Political which weakens the movement for safeguard itself. And His Eminence boasts of multilingualism as a sign of wisdom. I would like to respectfully dis agree. English or hindi or for that matter any language is not an indicator of wisdom or knowledge and one who cannot spell or write his name in English doesnot necessarily mean that he is a fool. If we follow this logic than people of Indus Valley Civilization must have been fool as there was no englush then. But no. They were far ahead of their times. Infact, their town planning puts modern cities to shame. Wisdom has nothing to do with any particular language.

Seems you are well educated and the words you shared are true but I wanna share and add something. LBA and Apex should work differently as it creates problematic mainly to the Buddhist communities especially Kargil Buddhist community. Example Apex work accordingly with KDA which LBA has no need . KDA suppress and discriminate Kargil Buddhist people and somehow now brainwashed Apex to do so . As apex and LBA is same the impact also impacted on LBA leh . LBA imposed unelected President Skarma Dadul to forcefully rule LBA Kargil . You all who is not from Kargil and doesn’t belong to minorities can’t understand the problem easily and starts to think in bookish way but in reality it’s totally different. You all thinks “Ek Gompa hi toh hai kya hua Kahi bhi bana ly “ but look the minority people had attachment and emotions linked with it which can’t be replace with anything . I saw a grand public solar heated public toilet in leh and remind me of Kargil gompa and my mind state wow what a fortune lehpa is to have such a grand toilets and our gompa is far down to the toilets of leh . We know only faith to god works not the materialistic but as human we have desires . We use to think that our community from leh will support us but it look wrong nowadays and the era of discrimination continues ❤

Regarding two posts one person, let's discuss a bit. LBA president is an elected post and logically election is the way to oust him from power. In all fairness, if there are issues, no confidence motion should be brought it against him. Regarding him heading Apex, I think as a Ladakhi, I feel honoured and deeply thankful that he is doing that. Name a leader who stood for safeguard as strongly as Thupstan Tsewang since the beginning? There was none. Why ex- leaders are only behind the scenes or saying little as compared to Thupstan Tsewang regarding safeguard? He resigned from MP's post for Ladakh. It takes courage and morality to do that. And many comments on him are made by people who, I am afraid are not aware or less aware of his works. Name a political leader, presently active, who commands such respect from all people of Ladakh, including from Kargil and political opponents? There is none. This speaks volumes about his selfless work. Therefore, one can have views against him but at the same time has to keep in mind these facts before saying things. So, I feel him heading apex is only good for Ladakh and him heading LBA, wait for elections or bring in no confidence motion against him.

From the beginning of this chapter from last year his eminence Palga Rinpoche started this blame game against the LBA , LGA and the present LBA - kargil president. I think this is a first time when LBA and LGA Leh is responding him after some based less allegations from time to time . Scenes are creating just like School and Trust episodes of Kargil which started few years back . Still it's a time to discuss on table rather then on social media otherwise people will loose trust from such stakeholders and persons .
