I notice when alot of Christians say this they typically are subscribe to a consecutive point of view and will be quick to talk politics will telling others they should stick to the Gospel but will be the first one willing to talk about politics and forsake the Gospel themselves. First, I have been a long time fan of reach records, and they have never once referred to themselves collectively as Christians raps. That is the label that was given to them because they were rapping about Jesus. Let me ask you this do you consider yourself a 'Christian+Whatever Job you work'? If so once again do you preach the Gospel to everyone you come in contact with at work? By your definition of a Christian this the standard you need to hold yourself to before you call out others. Jesus in Matthew 7: 1-2 " Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." Just remember that according to the Bible the same expectation that you putting on reach records you better be doing yourself. If not then you aren't using righteous judgment (John 7:24) and you will give an account for your unrighteous judgment (Romans 14:12). Second, no scripture states that Christians are only supposed to just preach the gospel and to not say anything about the president. I have read the bible cover to cover multiple times and I can't seem to find that in there. Also, reach records doesn't just constantly bashes the president, their whole issue was with the evangelical community. The lack of understanding of some of the problems that Christians of a different color face and the idolization of Donald Trump are the biggest issues that they had. You're initial comment and assertion that they have an agenda proves their point. Now I will admit that sometimes they do put culture over the kingdom, and I don't agree with everything they say. Just like I don't agree with everything Trump says or does because at the end of the day these people are men and shouldn't be put on a pedestal. If you look at some of the stuff they are saying objectively and bibical it is correct. People do idolize trump and refuse to rebuke because they believe God is fully using him and put him in office. Yes God does elect and raises kings ( Daniel 2:21), but at the same time that doesn't mean a person Chosen by God cannot be rebuked by a true man of God. David was a man after God's own heart and used by God, but he was still rebuked by a true man of God ( 2 Samuel 12 ). We shouldn't allow political afflictions to stop us for rebuking and correcting are leaders. God makes this very clear, but conservative Christian don't do this. Also, God does care about more than the Gospel he also cares about justice. If he doesn't care about injustice why is Luke18:1-8 and Matthew 18:15-17 in the bible? Also, doesn't the bible say " Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;" Psalm 89:14. You see according to the Bible God Carries about his people and to just brush people off because what they are saying doesn't line up with your point of view is unbiblical and isn't of God. You can not agree with what they say which that fine, but my friend you have prejudices that need to be addressed by God. I use to be like you bashing reach records and saying they had an agenda, but the Lord showed me that I was wrong on because of my bias point of view and I repented. Please seek the Lord and humble yourself ask him if what I say is true. I laid out Scriptures and this wasn't just an emotional plea, but this is from someone who used to think like you, but God had opened my eyes to show me that I was wrong in my judgment.

This is soooo true Hulvey is literally my favorite artist. His songs are sooo biblical and like you said not to throw shade but his music speaks for its self, compared to some of the other artists I be wondering and sometimes waiting on them to say even something that glorifies the Lord even if it’s a lil and sometimes you don’t get that or even know what they be talking about in their songs lol but Hulvey’s music is heaven sent and Holy Spirit filled for sure. Artists, myself included, often times feel like we have to come up with some crazy punchlines, complex metaphors, double and triple entendres, etc, just to catch the listeners ears, give them some type of actual feelings about the music and stick in their memory. When in reality it doesn't have to be some complex wordplay and delivery, it just has to be something real and authentic. Especially when the artist is making music for the right reasons (because they're after God's own heart), they have a sincere, personal relationship with Yeshua, are anointed and the Holy Spirit is working through them.
