Instead of variant, why can not we use z.optional for id and based id defined value, we can decide either create or edit. That way map data can be avoided and make the code a bit simple

Hey guys, I'm having trouble following the Handling Complex Generics With Typescript and RHF section. I've tried researching online to understand how generics work, and I think I've got that part down. However, I'm still struggling to understand the rest, such as what Path and FieldValues are, and how the Autocomplete was implemented. I tried googling and see the react hook documentation to figuer out both that Path and FieldValues, but i didn't find much. I don't get how other developers get to understand these parts I even feel like if I rewatch the video multiple times, I'll just memorize the steps, but if I try to create something different, I won't be able to. Can anyone suggest what I can do to overcome this hurdle? I'm really stuck and would appreciate any help please!

You can add import typescript extentinon from vs code store, I dont why but my importer also borked and extentioned fix that, by the way loved how you explain the generic types
