One thing that really shocked my ex girlfriend from Kenya, when she came to Germany was the level of security. When she saw a jewelery store that didn't take their stuff out of the windows at night and didn't put any metal grid in the window she needed to sit down and breath for a moment. She just couldn't believe that a place like that existed

I think it helps for travel purposes that people tend to get 5-6 weeks of paid annual leave in Germany.

18:06, I would also remark the free healthcare as a good reason to stay in Germany. You don’t pay for a doctor, a emergency health transport or even for medicines you pay only 10% of the price. Here people are healthier because the government to a doctor or the hospital. And here it is safer for two reasons. First nearly nobody is allowed to have a firearm or other gun. Second is the the government is trying to give everyone a perspektive. All are able to go to school and even after this if you wanna learn a job the government would help you for your first job. So you have not so many homeless people, not so many people taking drugs and not so many people who need to do crime to survive. This is why it is safer. Don‘t get me wrong, here in Germany not everything is like heaven, but we do better then the USA in this way.

17:45 if you only want the taste, but not the alcohol and its effects, there are quite a number of in my humble opinion at least tolerable alcohol-free beers in Germany, too.

University is also "free" for non-germans, if you are accepted. You can also get a less expensive insurance for healthcare as a student. The only problem might be the living expanses itself. The only probelm is that education is not free at all. The people living in germany pay for it with taxes. But for the individual it is "free".

Yeah but in our understanding of state there is the inclusion that the state should uplift people i don´t see the problem in paying taxes for it. I used the system and repaid my part.

Hello, yes, Germany is a safe country, even if we do of course have "Bernnpunkte" (hot spots) in large cities where you may not always feel safe. But we don't have this basic fear that most US citizens grow up with, which they have already internalized so much that they don't even notice it. Only when a US citizen like the videomaker here or “Alexis Hayley” describes on her YT channel that suddenly a pressure, a burden is lifted, does my compassion for the USA and its citizens arise. A country in which more children die from gunshot wounds than from traffic accidents should really take a serious look at itself. A friend who works in the tourist industry once told me as a policeman that there is a very simple way to recognize US-American tourists. He said you could set off one or two fireworks or a car with a loud backfire would be enough. The people who didn't grow up in the USA either don't care or they stop to curiously find out the cause of the bang(s). Only US citizens would frantically seek cover or throw themselves flat on the ground before looking for the cause and then perhaps a little later, embarrassed, overplay their reaction. I imagine such a childhood, youth or even a life under this permanent fear and danger to be really difficult.

PS: you might find this charmingly amateurish video by a Japanese traveler interesting - if, at times, a bit long… -> kzbin.info/www/bejne/e57Ue62Bhtpmg9ksi=gyCqJV60fXF8ZgO6 He‘s walking through my hometown, looking for interesting places - and food restaurants. :) It gives a good impression of how a city in Germany can be experienced by tourists, but without all the annoying sponsoring and self-promotion you usually get in these kind of videos.

7:09 yea… well.. about that „not importing food“ part… that isn’t quite correct.. for example, there currently is an active official food alert with regard to potatos imported from Egypt who had insecticide levels above EU food norms and as a result those potato bags had to be recalled by several big supermarket chains. On the plus side, the poison levels _were_ detected and the product _was_ taken off the market, soooo… *the system works*. (Libertarians will of course attempt to convince you that those regulations are evil and - because there are tax-financed government departments enforcing them - some kind of communist or fascist or whatever diabolical conspiracy plot to steal „your“ money…)

I am German and have lived here for 55 years, but I am considering leaving Germany, perhaps to Brazil 🙂, because unfortunately more and more German weapons are currently being delivered to the NATO/Ukraine-RUSSIA war. Instead of trying to end the killing by all means, including diplomatic means, Europe will, in my opinion, become a battlefield for World War III thanks to NATO and the current German government.

I'm sorry : Everyone love the fact, that school in germany is for free. BUT IT'S NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Public schools with their high level of education are free in Germany and are financed through taxes!!!! We have over 80 million People in germany but there are only about 15 million "net taxpayers". Of the approximately 46 million employed people in the country, 27 million pay more in taxes and contributions than they receive in state benefits. Of these, however, 12 million people are "directly or indirectly dependent on the state" because, for example, they are paid by taxes and contributions as civil servants. This means that ultimately 15 million "net taxpayers" keep the system running. That's why I hate long-term students who study all their lives and collect their salaries without really contributing to our country. They are parasites.
