They were both supposed to come out last year. They didn’t wanna release zaunite characters during arcane that weren’t going to show to avoid confusion

They did something similar, but in my opinion slightly worse, with Aurelion Sol. Half of his visible model isn't actually his model. That is, when his body starts "fading out" into transparency, he no longer counts as a champion for hitbox purposes. That threw people off a LOT when things were "supposed" to hit when aiming for his tail or whatever. This feels like it MIGHT have a similar effect, but then again, it was never an issue with Orianna... So who knows!

Fun Fact, what she uses is not shimmer, it is really pure chemtech that she refined with her parents formulas, a Rioter explained on reddit that chemtech begins green, filthy, and the more pure it gets the more pinkish/purple it goes. It is confusing that hey are both purple but this is not shimmer.

Actually both Zeri and Renata Glasc where gonna get released last year but got delayed because of the Arcane event (Riot X). They wanted all the spotlight to go on Arcane and the new champs, and not something to get overshadowed by the other, so they opted to delay those 2 champions (well because they couldn't delay the event)

I always played support or AP champs a lot but I also pick a few ADC champs. My first impression to her is "wOoow, another character from zaun?", "shimmer user" 😂😂🤣🤣🤣.

I think the machine was actually added for clarity, so that you know “oh that’s renata” and someone else. That’s the main point of having clarity of a champion. You’ll generally learn that attacking the machine doesn’t work, so it shouldn’t really form an issue in the long run I think. Do you have this same issue with Kindred? Wolf is always moving around kindred and even detaches from Lamb when she W’s. If not, I don’t think this’ll pose a problem.

Kindred herself looks quite unique, as she's not a human; the only other champ I could think of with something floating around her was Orianna. But like I said, these were my first impressions, and it may not be an issue for me after all.

With high ping on PBE she felt very sluggish. Attacks are super slow and abilities doesn't feel good enough. Her q feels a bit too short for a champion that might want to stay in the back like most other enchanters.

to be fair she does have a lot of overall strong abilities, so I imagine shes a late game champ who suffers early game

Yes. My whole point was that the machine is the one that gives clarity, not the champion (person) herself, which is pretty obvious even at first sight. But then, I can say the same thing about Orianna, so it's really just a matter of time (to get used to it).
