They all have such incredible music knowledge. So much of the kpop industry ignores its roots (which are from music produced by black artists), but XG recognizes AND celebrates their influences in every interview. It’s so refreshing. These girls are so talented and they’re going to go far.
XG is not K-pop. They are indicate that world . They are in an international girl group I’ve been a fan that is for a year and a half so I do know that I am proud to be an alpha, but to say other K-pop artist is going too far because in the cable illustrate if you really do listen, I’m talking Since I don’t know Korean 100% I do have to put the subtitles and they do talk about hip-hop and R&B in Michael Jackson and a lot of them will say they were inspired by Michael Jackson someone towel who says usher so no you’re 100% wrong might make it seem like that they would 100% say when I get there was wrong and I’ve seen plenty of interviews really have because I am a huge K-pop fan but besides that they are not keep out there and that’s not Grogu my son, hope you become an alpha

@@jjunminieee-dd3jqThey aren’t bringing anyone down, they are just emphasizing what makes them different to other groups. If they said “Wow they have such great and unique vocals, that not many groups have.” would you say the same thing?

@hanmira They are in the K-pop world. If maybe, if you win one of my other comments, you would’ve seen you say that they are in the K-pop world, but they are not considered a K-pop artist, and even like they get a lot of help from fans make videos and who are they? Why are they here is to make it only in English, but there are lotta alphas out there who, and other people who will give them a chance, and hear the music you can be involved indicate that world will not be a K-pop artist, OK

It's funny how some people still don't believe these girls like 90's music. They are seen singing many songs from that era in their docu-episodes, and they actually have better knowledge of that era then a lot of people who grew up in the time.
@jab1073 Жыл бұрын
When I saw the title I laughed. Anyone who knows XG knows they know 90's music. If it has anything to do with music, you know XG is going to clear it easily. Their musical knowledge is so vast that when they do Song Association the only question is which song they are going to choose not if they have a song in mind. Especially when I saw 90's that's their wheel house with Lauren Hill, Destiny Child and TLC. Only musical challenge they fail is try not to sing or dance because they can't not sing or dance

While XG belongs to the Gen Z demographic, they have a deep appreciation for the music of the 90s, despite it being considered old school for their generation. XG not only enjoys but also admires the music from that era. In the 90s, JPOP experienced a significant rise in Asian culture, while in the West, artists like Celine Dion, Britney Spears, and the Backstreet Boys were dominating the music scene. JPOP was greatly influenced by Western music during the 90s and early 2000s, contributing to its popularity in Asia. The emergence of more Japanese artists representing Japan is remarkable. However, XG stands out as a unique global group from Japan, distinct from the typical KPOP or JPOP genres. They are categorized as XPOP because they exclusively sing in English, and all their singles and albums are in English. This uniqueness sets them apart in the global music industry. Yuno Ito comes to mind, a Japanese American singer known for her collaboration with Celine Dion. Also, Juria's rendition of Utada Hikaru's hit song 'First Love' is unforgettable. We mustn't overlook Namie Amuro, the iconic J-pop queen. It's remarkable to see how XG, a Japanese girl group, is breathing new life into Japan's music scene. They pay homage to past Japanese singers and hold a special affection for 90s music. 🇯🇵🐺

They’re real music fans! I think the interviewer was kind of expecting them not to know since they’re Japanese, but this music is all available online these days, and especially for those training to be in the performing industry it is so important to know the legacies of the most historic artists and performers. I’m pretty sure in the JYP building there’s just a huge wall illustration of Michael Jackson and the trainees always pay tribute to it 😭 (Of course XG also have a uniquely extensive knowledge which I’m honestly so grateful for them to have and to be doing things the right way as hiphop-inspired artists)
