Okay, I would debate that the hologram scene where he speaks to his daughter was more emotional for me. When he looks up and makes eye contact and says "I love you 3000" broke me in theaters. That video of Allie's transition was so powerful. One of my dear friend's went through a rough transition where he had to keep constantly defending his identity to his dad. It was maddening, because even though the two of them would hang out together, his dad would still use his given name from birth and the she/her pronouns, not his chosen name. It was heartbreaking, but thankfully, his dad eventually came around. Hearing your name spoken by the very person you need that acknowledgement and acceptance from is so important. No matter what, that is your kid! Respecting and loving who they are means so much!
