They are the ONLY kpop girl group who can beat male groups in an award shows and the ONLY girl group who took home 13 awards, koreas nations girl group but nowadays they were more called as kpop legends. Everyone in KOREA knows them soo much and they love and respect them so much. All of other companies see girls generation as a whole package of talent and GG is the standard example a lot of companies used to select new members for a girl group. GG is STILL a group but they were doing solo activities for now. Their voice is sooo good in harmony Ps. Gee is still unbeatable girl song in KOREA charts

The girl group who paved the way for the other girl groups when there were a lot of boy groups debuting and girl groups were not recognized back then. One of the legends of KPop, the textbook girl group that other girl groups followed, the only Nation's Girl Group. Until now, they are still at the top of brand popularity index even though they are doing their individual activities.

You should react to the MVs "You Think" , "Lil Touch" (latest single sub unit) and Genie (they got a lot of new fans after this song was released) also I'm pretty sure their japanese music would be 100% your style, really their japanese discogrpahy is gold and better than the korean and you will see why! god it’s so rare nowadays to see people react to snsd, i’ve missed watching people discover them for the first time and being amazed by them fun fact: the boys is actually the song that not only got me into snsd, but also into kpop as a whole. snsd is a very versatile group, so it really doesn’t matter what you like, they’ve probably done it before. songs i would recommend to show their talents and versatility are their hit song genie, the more retro themed lion heart, the badass no nonsense you think, their debut song into the new world and their most recent full group comeback all night. they are skilled in pretty much everything and even as solo acts are widely respected and successful. they’re the standard for girl groups, having broken boundaries and records no one before them did, and they’ve inspired at least half the girl groups that are out there right now. so yeah, snsd are The Legends, the standard, the blueprint. there’s no one like them even after nearly thirteen years in the business. in short: stan snsd and you will never regret it.

The boys concept are actually Faurytail heroines (from the album cover). Such as the following: Snow White, Little Mermaid, Little Red Riding Hood, Thumbelina, Rapunzel, Swan Maiden (Though she holds dove so Dove Maiden?) etc.

The variations that they did on this song was the first time in kpop history thats why it received a lot of praises and criticisims at the same time from music experts. It might be common now for new generation of kpop groups coz they already mastered the technique of mixing up these type of genres but at that time GG was way ahead of other girl groups. The pink bedroom scene at the beginning of I Got A Boy isn't actually part of the song, it's an introduction shared with other releases from that album, such as "Dancing Queen" (which is another song in the "Gee" vein). React to other songs first, to get the full depth of SNSD. Try a couple of their ballads, like "Check", "Divine", or "Time Machine".

Tiffany, Seohyun, and Sooyoung are NOT "out of the group". They are out of contract with the company, but still counted as members. Best to think of them as "free agents" still signed to the OT8 team. Only Jessica is officially out of the group, something that still divides the fandom. OT8 = OT9 minus Jessica. Oh!GG = OT8 minus the 3 free agents.

if you really want to do this I suggest you start with a you tube search. Top 20 k-pop girl groups and then name a year like 2011. If you see a group that interests you you can look them up. SNSD evolved a lot and they would be sommething new and unexpected with every come back. Foe second gen groups I always recommend T-Ara and After School but no ond listens much..
