XG es básicamente un grupo de R&B hip hop y en shooting star es mas contundente los sonidos aunque como global group su productor afirmó que usan música como adicional de jpop and kpop but they are not at all kpop. Y este vídeo tiene lo que es propia de la cultura cute de Harajuku que es propio japonés😅. Creo con más tiempo las personas van a reconocer XG y su musica y la variación que pueden hacer 😊

Te recuerda a New Jeans porque básicamente su concepto es y2k tanto en sonido como en estética. La canción es más bien R&B muy y2k y la estética del vídeo está full inspirada en elementos esteticos de subculturas japonesas y elementos de la estética de la cultura pop (en el sentido de popular y no del género) desde los 60's hasta los 2000's. Muy entendible que se confundan con elementos del kpop si no estás relacionada con la industria y cultura japonesa. XG no es kpop ni jpop, son un grupo japonés de hip hop y R&B, las 7 son japonesas y su empresa es japonesa, pero su CEO es ex idol de kpop y es coreano-japonés así que tiene contactos en la industria Kpop y eso les permite promocionar en Corea, lo hacen ahí y no en Japón porque buscan ser un grupo internacional y en general el mercado muaical japonés es MUY cerrado.

I was hoping you would react to XG 🥰 I'm not sure if you are aware that all members are Japanese and technically they are not K-pop but more A-pop (asian pop) since they are targeting the international K-pop fans with their English lyrics. @@paovalencia my pleasure 😄 All members were born and raised in Japan but are multi lingual. Harvey is half Australian though. All of them are close to the ages of New Jeans and they trained for around 4 years. The youngest, Cocona is 16 followed by Miya her BFF since grade school. Their company is Avex, a Japanese media company with ties to YG and SM. Thats why they are able to promote in tv shows in SK. They were also trained with the Korean idol method but their fashion is Japanese but their musical style is American hiphop and rnb. Cant wait to see more XG reactions from you. BTW Felip/Ken of SB19 has several new solo MVs out that you might want to watch.
