I am surprised no one commented this. But the word love and wisdom teeth in korean sounds similar and recently one of the member had their wisdom tooth taken out. So cherish is something related to that. Thats why the mv had a lot of teeth symbolism in it. I don't know much abt it i guess their fans can help me

Yep thats it. "Saranghae" is love, and "Sarangni" or 'Sarangnee" is wisdom tooth. F(x)'s song Rum Pum Pum Pum is also about the wisdom tooth/love play on words with the Korean title being "First Wisdom Tooth (Cheotsarangnee)" playing on "first love" (Cheotsarang)

i don't usually listen to girl group with cute/teenage concept but their songs are good and catchy not in a cringy way for me. i think it also has smth to do with their aura and visual as a group that actually give off innocence along with a hint of darkness and magical pony tale vibe. you can set a concept of a group. train them for certain image but you can't make up the vibe u know.

I'm not really a huge fan of them, there good just not for me. I try to avoid the super poppy Kpop. I really like XG, Dreamcatcher, Everglow, BABYMON, Gidle. I saw your video and thought it was time to give them a shot. who knows though, I dint like New Jeans at first but ETA got stuck in my head and I fell in love with them.

I do understand you’r POV but, for me ILLIT is not super poppy kpop. I really found Magnetic and Cherrish kinda creepy at some moment in the 2MV.

Magnetic is brought from trap's subgenre, plugg, which is originally from hip-hop. Plugg use more melodic chopping bass sound than live vocals while phonk is based on melody and beat drums. The thing is, their main producer, Slow Rabbit, mixed plugg with dance and house to add vocals. But I get you, I would rather see them explore subgenres like cloud rap, drill, g-funk that is more based on live vocals with rap lines instead of recording chop sound.
