I know you guys clown on the woman who was like "I was born to be a Home Depot cashier." Now a days you probably couldn't fathom someone saying that. But think about what that really means. 15-20 years ago, companies used to value who worked for them. You'd go into a grocery store or a C store and there would be Doris. A lovey older lady who has a 35yr pin on her badge. She knows you and everyone else by name. Now days? You're lucky to see the same person every week in self check. Also even with the min wage being lower, you used to be able to live off being a cashier. My mom did it for 12yrs when I was a kid.

Same. My dad built a sleeper PT dual-turbo with a bunch of aftermarket stuff. When he really opened it up it felt like a rocket, getting pushed back into the seats like we were catching G's or something..but he's a car guy and it was prob mostly that he just knew how to build it, but iirc some models were decent for high horsepower engine builds. Butt fuckin' ugly cars tho.
