This was a take off of old detective movies. They would always find a match book ( aka spark pad) with an address on it. Also has a good cop ( Bo) bad cop (Din) aspect.

I’m not a fan of most of Lizzo’s songs but I have to say she did a pretty good job acting in this. Her character was really likable too. The mystery was engrossing, the end progressed the plot, and all the action was good. This is one of my favorite episodes this season so far.

It was cool to see the Quarren and Mon Calamari strife represented on screen. Doc Brown! The DeLorean can travel interstellar?! When do we get THAT BTTF movie? The man, the myth, the mad scientist himself! The game with the bugs reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. The Droid bar took me out of it for a bit. I'm all for giving droids more personality (B2EM0), but this didn't really line up. Many had recently been reprogrammed, and typically, a droid develops more personality when regular memory wipes are not done. That's why privately owned personal droids tend to have more personality over commercial droids. Maybe if they had said something about droids living as citizens? I'm not 100% sure what Doc Browns motive was fully. Mandalorian blood?!? Wtf! He doesn't even have Mandalorian blood, the original Mandalorians were NOT human! Is he trying to imply no family lineage or something? HA! I knew it belonged to her after that episode! Im glad she has the saber now, and that story is moving along. Wish JB had a bigger role that allowed him to have more fun with his role. Maybe one of the Ugnaughts and then joining them briefly to figure out what was wrong instead of the tech/coroner lol

In StarWars Canon there is a general rule about how droids get more of a personality. The longer the droid is active without being reset, the more of a personality he will develop (due to more and more random Code-Fragments combining in unexpected ways). Some of the droids with most personality are also the once that haven't been reset/recalibrated the longest (R2-D2, Chopper/C1-10P, B2EMO, ...) Of course, as for most rules in StarWars this is not always strictly followed

I think when it comes to droids in Star Wars, the key is whether they get the memory wipes, the droids that don't get them regularly seem to develop personalities and quirks of their own and are probably evolving beyond their programming making them more truly 'sentient', the memory wipes would limit their development of free will no doubt....in the older EU canon the assassin's droids (like the IG-11 or IG-88 the bounty hunter droid) were considered the most advanced and most dangerous droid A.I. how it is in the new canon...well the L3 from Solo was all about 'droid emancipation' so....even if she was annoying :). The treatment of droids in general in the SW universe is quite harsh, they are property, and are given the special restraining bolts that make them more obedient and subject to remote control (meaning shutting them down, limiting their movements etc.), Droid owners install restraining bolts to limit actions to a set of desired behaviors. Restraining bolts work in conjunction with droid “callers,” small handheld devices that compel a droid to stop what it’s doing and report to its master (all seen in A New Hope with the Jawas installing them on R2 and C3PO and then also Luke removed the restraining bolt from R2 which allowed him to escape the farm in search of Kenobi). The battle droids of the separatists, well they probably received periodic memory wipes, and being produced en masse and used as grunts on the frontlines they probably never had enough to develop fully, while also their 'brains' were overloarded with the stuff they originally had not in their programming performing more duties (originally after all they were controlled by central computers, later in Clone Wars were 'independent thinkers' to an extent :), so the destruction of the command ship would not shut them down like it was done in Phantom Menace).

I liked the ending of this episode - everything in between felt a tad strange? 😅 Still seems like they’re feeling their oats with this season. There have been a few episodes that were really good imo but anymore these spin-off shows feel hit-or-miss, as opposed to Mandalorian season 1 where every episode left you at the edge of your seat. I really enjoy when you both do these. and I have to admit they are bringing back my interest in Star Wars which I had lost after a few of the recent movies turned me off from it. The Mandalorian is a dead franchise. They keep sidelining main characters. This is Din's show not Bo Katan's. And Lizzo and Jack black took me out of the show. Disney ruined star wars.
