Happening for me is like you're destined to meet someone but you're not meant to be together. I dunno if you noticed in the music video you'll see HAPPY ENDING but Y and D was blurred out so it becomes HAPP_EN_ING w/c is genius. Coz as we all know not all of the people we meet will stay with us forever, some will just be part of our memories and our happenings. Well it's just me. AKMU is like siblings too with yedam, they've been together since yedam was a kid in the KPop star TV program and they are also going to YG entertainment together

The way I see it is that some people are not meant to be your "Happy Ending", they're just your Happening. But, the MV shows the discord between meeting someone + the loss you feel when you lose them as well So the way I interpret it is that even tho he/she is just your Happening, the pain you feel is real and will still impact the way you see the world around you when that person is lost from your life

How can i love the heartbreak you are the one i love, this song got a PAK and dominated the charts in SK for a very long time,and even today is still charting(even higher than "my happening" on Melon chart). Akmu and Yedam respectively came first and second on kpop star ( i don't remember which season😂) and both signed under YG. Thank you so much for reacting and bé safe and healthy 🥰

HAPPY ENDING take out Y and D and you get HAPPENING. There are some people in your life who you meet and you think they’ll be with you in the long run, but they’re just a fleeting memory or HAPPENING. From what I gather in this MV, for Chanhyuk.. he gets a note from this girl or ex-girl and he tosses it away. He’s sure that going their separate ways and ignoring each other will be the best for them. Breaking it off before the relationship can get serious and so it won’t hurt so much. You see he bumps into a girl (I assume she is the ex-gf) she continues walking forward while he looks back and says something like you are too close, I don’t like to get hurt. But when he gets into an empty train car. He turns around and chases after the girl as if he had a change of heart. But what once was lively people are skeletons and keeps switching..it’s like his feelings being confused. I think the same thing kind of applies to Suhyun’s part of the MV. Pushing away the people that she feels won’t be with her in the long run. Stopping a relationship before it even starts because she’s scared of being horribly heartbroken. She rather be the bad one because this other person is too good and still wants to work things out. Just a whole bunch of emotional conflict, where they want to get over the past and relationship. It’s for the best and they rather end it all now, but at the same time there’s lingering feelings and missing that person. 😩

This song is still charting on MELON even if the song was released a year ago.. one of the hardest korean platform to chart cause the requirement is Unique Listeners count .. My fave akmu song is DINOSAUR

The excitement in me when I saw the notif of this! Haha I'm so glad to know you actually listen to these lovely duo and now reacted to them :) The MV of Happening is a bit creepy when I first watch it lol. But I think the sense of it leans more on the bridge part of the song "Let’s not have Any stupid memories left Because of your lingering attachment" Like they're putting emphasis how 'past is past' by those skeletons and dried flowers and old places.

I think it's a song about letting go opportunities. That's why when he ran back every one is dead, because they happened already and there's no turning back once you passed by it already. And the train still runs because no matter what we do we still need to move forward. It is really true when the Happy Ending didn't all lit up because it is not always a happy ending..sometimes what we experience are just happenings that are not meant for us.

Happening MV for me is too deep to understand but as I always listened to it while watching the MV.. I realized what MV wants to show us. It's about a person who fell inlove with someone but then got to many doubts and negative thoughts until it becomes too late. They want to teach us that if we ever like or love someone we should go for it and never doubt our feelings or else it becomes too late for everything. The part where you see HAPPY ENDING but then the Y and D is off. It gives me a feeling where it could have been a HAPPY ENDING if only you fight for your love to a person but then again you have too many doubts in you, like you think that person is too good to be true or you can't reach her/him because he's/she's too perfect for you.
