Queen Here, sorry that I forgot to mention this once I posted this. I watched the music video with English subtitles but recently I've been having some problems with how I originally do the music videos having English subtitles. As well as it was a race against time to try and get all my videos fully edited by this week. Especially with the short amount of time I had to get everything done. I've already mentioned this ahead of time in my community. But for those who didnt end up reading it I'm writing it on here. So I hope you guys understand. It's just a lot of work for me to get everything done and I do have to go back and film a few more videos now so its stressful and a lot of work for me right now.

Here's a couple of things that are good to remember, Queen: this is your channel and you control the timelines. You never have to worry about getting content out to Band-Maid Fans (and your viewers) at an unrealistic rate that puts added stress on you. Maidiacs don't roll like that. Band-Maid's philosophy is all about having fun while always, "doing your best." But if you are feeling stressful, Billie Jean King always says, "Stress is a privilege", meaning you're working hard to do something exceptional that many people won't (or can't) do. And while that work may be stressful at times, just bouncing around and not accomplishing anything won't create much joy for yourself or those around you... or your viewers. So you can do great, fun things Queen, because you're always doing your best within realistic timelines that you control. 😘

Nice reaction Queen. Did you know that you could have rewatched the livestream during 1 week? Some livestreams are even available for 1 month, it depends of the ticket you chose to buy. Otherwise, you can preorder BAND-MAID’s livestream on blu-ray (available on May) but it’s quite expensive (99$ + shipping + taxes) Have a nice day

I do know live streams sometimes do have that choice but I've been very busy and I havent had a lot of time especially having to film another full week in such a short amount of time.

This is a great song for our times. It really shows the great range of Band-Maid. You might forget that they are really a rock and roll band after hearing this, but they are.

This was posted on another video reaction: This is from online concert Feb. 11, 2021. The song is a love letter from the band that they wrote to their fans. Just before singing the song Saiki talked about the struggles of the band over the past year. Here is the English translation of what she said. It gives more meaning to the song and how they felt. Saiki: We were supposed to meet you today. For the first time in a year, we thought we could meet you all, those of you who could come to see us, but we can’t meet you in the end. I’m sorry. Even though it’s not my fault. We have been having days of turmoil for about a year. In the beginning, we were very surprised because we hadn’t experienced it before, and we had no experience of not being able to meet others in person. We were sad, but we found we shouldn’t be sad in this situation. When I saw you masters and princesses on social media, you were more depressed than us, and we thought that’s terrible. We Band-Maid have been thinking about how to cheer up all of you in the last one year. We truly wanted to meet you at Nippon Budokan, but it’s impossible because of COVID, so let’s wait for the day when we can meet. And in the last one year… or in the COVID pandemic, we have become more eager to cheer you up, and we Band-Maid realized again it’s important to give our songs to you. That’s why we wrote this song for Budokan. We made the album also in the pandemic, so it might have a little similar feel, but this song is planned for Nippon Budokan, and we really want to give it to you masters and princesses now. Budokan is not our goal but just a stepping stone. We will perform at bigger venues, and we promise we will bring you there and give you even better songs, so let’s keep it up a little more. This is our present for you masters and princesses. Please listen to it.

It's perfectly acceptable to cry at this song. It is, after all, an unabashed love letter to their fans during this pandemic. It was designed to be a double barrel shotgun blast directly to the feels, and it was perfectly executed to do just that.

Saiki has the ability to sing with emotions like few others, this ablity makes her one of the best vocalists on this planet today.
@phaeron3 жыл бұрын
Every little detail of the sensible instrumentation and of course the voices of Saiki and Miku are full of emotions. I already had that feeling before I had the English lyrics at hand, which I could fully understand. I've listened to this Song so many times by now and it still gives me goosebumps. Imo, it is only too understandable that the ladies had a slight lump in their throats during this performance after what the last year has meant to, but above all also taken away from them. When they unpacked the song 'Daydreaming' directly afterwards, I was completely through with everything. It is and remains my personal favourite, which appeals to me at least, if not more, on an emotional level due to the instrumentation. The whole concert was just damn good and I'm glad it's being released on disc. The music of B-M has taken on an enormously high significance for me within the last 1 1/2 years. Words can hardly describe how grateful I am to have stumbled upon them by chance. 【 'Our rock never dies ever, forever!' - Band-Maid 】

It's about you, me, them, everyone. It's selfless, Po! They just miss us, Po! They are showing some signs of a "guttural soulfulness." You can see it in Miku's face during the outro, Po! I hope I have enough digits in my life to see them reach the actuality of soulfulness, Po! Of course, Kanami "blues" shredding the whole time (right ear), and Misa doing Misa things, Po! We are 29 days away from a possible Band Maiko surprise, Po! Be prepared, Po!

I love that you said you loved Saiki's outfit. I am a man that appreciates female beauty but Saiki doesn't need to wear a short skirt showing her stockings for me to be wowed. Misa's longer dress is stunning also. I love the entire Maid concept that Miku brought in from her maid-cafe days.

from japan I thought about why band-made music is popular with listeners all over the world. (1) Maid clothes look strange at first glance, but they don't feel dirty or frightening like other hard rock and metal bands, so on the contrary, they feel conservative. (2) Everyone admits that the playing ability is wonderful, but the timing and ensemble are particularly excellent, so it feels good to listen to. Especially the rhythm section of Akane and Misa is transcendent. It gets better when Kanami gets involved there. (3) The variety of Kanami's riffs and the solos are not just about playing fast, but also about the melody, so it makes you feel more comfortable listening to them. (4) The individuality of the members is diverse, but when playing, they are mixed well and a sense of unity is felt. (5) Saiki's slightly crunchy singing voice, which has a different image from her beauty, fits well with her song. (6) There are almost no similar songs, and various rhythms and riffs appear one after another in one song, so never get tired of listening to it. On top of that, I feel that the most attractive thing is that the sincere attitude and feelings towards music and fans are conveyed straightforwardly.

@Charles T. Velten Thank you. I am Japanese. I haven't seen them live even in Japan. The reason why they like it so much just by watching it on the net or on CD / DVD is that their charm is so wonderful. Now I hope to spend as much money as possible on their work to help them and get a fair reward.

"About Us", in the vein of other great mid-tempo Band-Maid songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage and Smile, is an amazing song and personal message to their fans - a direction I'm glad to see them add to their journey toward world domination. And we get to hear MISA play the vibe she so enjoys. Stretch Band-Maid... Stretch with all your might. We're behind you 100! Their new DVD/BD/CD of this incredible concert has been ordered! Thanks Queen, for bringing "About Us" to your viewers!

Tom i had a dream that you were on "This is your life" & the host said "Tom, all the way live via video link from Japan we have BAND-MAID". And B-M say hi & wish you all the best on your special evening. Then Miku says "Sorry we can't be with you Tom but we have a live stream show tonight, but our hearts are with you". Then the host says "Also via video link from England we have your friend Gary Holloway". And i appear on screen & say "Tom, you deserve this special occasion buddy. I'd love to be there with you but i have a B-M live stream show to watch tonight. MWA-HAHA-HAAAAAaaaaa". What a dream, hey Tom :)

@@GaryHolloway-810 Hey, I remember being in that dream. The Host got all huffy with my agent because when I heard you guys say there was a Band-Maid live-stream about to happen, I bolted out of the studio, grabbed you, and headed for the theater where they were recording the concert. Miku gave me two VIP passes to watch the performance, front-row-center. I remember we both lost our minds, it was so good. But when Saiki invited us to a private after show party, we couldn't hold back our excitement! We ah, well... we all kind of laugh when you pee'd your pants, Gary. Kanami was rolling on the floor and MISA spit out her JB. But Akane came over and picked you up while Miku, you lucky dog, dried you off with her apron. It was an unbelievable night for both of us, man... Hey, I can hear you. Stop laughing... 🤣 It was my dream, too, okay?! 😴
