Not that you’ll see this with how old this video is but: the umbilical cord will naturally fall off after birth if left alone. What we are left with as a belly button is the result of that natural falling off, the cord itself is cut a decent ways away from the belly button after birth. Also even if it didn’t fall off, the placenta would not remain in the mother and if it did it would almost certainly result in her death if not removed.

I have ADHD, and one time when me and my dad were waiting at the doctor’s to have a checkup for my ADHD, we overheard someone talking about how their kid with ADHD was going through a growth spurt, so his ADHD meds weren’t working as well anymore, and he had broken like three TVs in like a week or two because his meds weren’t helping him control his rage.
