Just finished watching this after a friend sent it my way. This was really entertaining to watch (your reactions to some of my character picks especially were priceless), and it was cool hearing your perspective on this hypothetical idea of mine, as well as your own ideas. I especially like your online tournament idea, and I'm kicking myself for not including a Double Dash mode. Also, full disclosure on that note, the Gameplay segment was something I added late into making the video, and I personally feel like it shows; I kinda made changes just for the sake of making it feel different from 8 Deluxe, and I feel like I should've thought it over some more. I also agree with a lot of your points about the Tracks segment, particularly with the retro tracks (I picked Mario Circuit 4 as the first Shell Cup track simply because it's Mario Circuit, but that was a *really* bad call in hindsight).

The inclusion of Super Team from Strikers absolves you of any fault or error so dont worry about that Im glad you enjoyed the reaction, my man!

Just from a design perspective on the retro tracks: Shell Cup Swap Koopa Beach 1 with Mario Circuit 4, Delfino Plaza with Shy Guy Bazaar, rearrange the tracks like: Koopa Beach 1 > Shy Guy Bazaar > Frappe Snowland > Toad's Factory And it would look much better. However, your retro track choices are skewed heavily towards the latter half of Mario Kart tracks in any given game and that hurts your retro cups something fierce. I would have booted out Frappe Snowland for a better pick, or just booted it to Banana Cup and thrown out Luigi Circuit and Mushroom City for a couple early tracks for that cup. Banana Cup Delfino Square > Luigi Circuit > Mushroom City > Piranha Plant Pipeline seems okay, but I think the overall track picks emphasizes way too hard on the latter half of the tracks in the Mario Kart games which shows in how I would boot out quite a few of your Banana Cup picks. Leaf Cup Swap Wario Colosseum with Wario Shipyard and DK's Jungle Parkway with Lakeside Park. Rearrange it so: Mario Circuit 4 > DK's Jungle Parkway > Wario Shipyard > Airship Fortress And it would look pretty good. Lightning Cup Wario Colloseum > Lakeside Park > Bowser's Castle > GCN Rainbow Road Generally speaking, I think you did better on the latter half of the retro track picks than on the first half. Roster-wise, on your M&L picks, I'd go with three out of Starlow, Prince Peasley, Popple, and Connie (w/ Snoutlet hanging around her) and swap out Dimentio with pretty much anyone from that game's villain cast other than Count Bleck, and the reason for that is because the Mario RPGs are generally a bit heavier on the story side meaning very few villains from the RPG side would ever want to hang out with the extended Mario cast for free time activities on top of their deaths in those RPGs feeling very final meaning they basically don't get the opportunity either. Otherwise, love the roster (Talking Flower is chef's kiss).

You can play gamecube games on the Wii and Wii games on Wii U, but Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 8 still have Double Dash and Wii tracks on the retro selection. Not having Mario Kart 8 tracks is insane

Me bashing my head against the wall because someone yet again completely misunderstands the while point of the coin. Its a NERF ITRM for people ahead. It pains me every time someone brings up removing it because it shows they didn't really think about the balancing fallout that would bring, and thats one thing. However, removing the coin system altogether is definitely a missplay here. It adds so much though and strategy in both planning and course layout, and removing that all together would completely neuter the strategy behind the racing

Absolutely hate frontrunning, total agree. I'm not competitive but sometimes if I'm playing with people that suck at the game like me I bag. I just wanna see the bullet, man, I love the bullet. And the Chain Chomp in double dash

Little comment about your suggestions on his lighting cup: you replaced DDJ with tracks from 3DS and GC. There are already tracks from those games in the cup, which doesn’t happen right?
