I think if you watched anime in the late 2000s to early 2010s, you kind of just watched everything that was considered good no matter the genre. Cuz the same thing happened to me where I also watched Ouran High even though its clearly marketed more towards the young female demographic. I thought it was still a good anime though.

I honestly had the biggest crush on Cary Elwes (who is Wesley in the Princess Bride) as a kid. First saw that movie in the 5th grade (I was 11) and I've always had a thing for guys with blonde hair, especially if they had an accent. So I was happy to see him get a mention here. I actually never had many fictional childhood crushes because I was too busy shipping chars as a kid lol. I did have a crush on the Beast/Prince Adam from Beauty and the Beast and Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty. Well I also had a big crush on Joey from New Kids on the Block, but he's a real person lol. Let's see, my first anime crush was Sage of the Halo from Ronin Warriors, but I was either 12 or 13 when I first saw that anime, so I don't know if he counts lol.
