They have the same bad rush game, same issues on the o-line but their run defense appears to be improved a bit and their secondary is legit, at least on one side. If they can stop our run, which I believe they can, I believe they will load the box against us and force the pass and trust Travis and Shilo to beat their men. The biggest problem will be if we can't get to Shaduer can we stop Hunter and their talented wide receivers. Doesn't look like they even have a tight end to worry about and their run game inspires no worries but if Shaduer buys time by getting outside the pocket he almsot always finds a man and when he runs he usually gets a first down and keeps the chains moving. Shaduer is legit and their receivers are legit, we have plenty to worry about.

Their speed is bigtime, but size and tackling up the middle on defense is blah. Their line physically looked better on offense. I think that N. DAK ST might win the 1AA Title this year.

Much improved from last year. However some of the problems of last year are the problems of this year (rushing and defense) just improved. But kudos to NDSU. They played great.

Honestly, Yeah he made some questionable calls throughout the game, but the refs also missed a blatant targeting call which kept the clock running on their second to final play, that cost NDSU 6 seconds, and possibly a chance at one more play from the 5 for the win.

Colorado threw for 445 yards against NDSU, but only ran for 59. They have some real weapons in the Sanders brothers and Hunter, but as a team…I don’t see anything to be really afraid of. I’ll wait until after Saturday’s game to make a score prediction, but I’m confident in Nebraska’s ability to handle that team. Colorado could get to 6 wins, but I sense a 5 win team right now.

The pass interference on sanders deep hail mary throw was devastating.. that would have given NDSU the ball with over a minute to play with.. I also believe they lost a few ticks when the clock started before the ball was set prior to the last play... colorado is the same dog as last year.. you shut a few players down and that boat will sink... I crunched some numbers after the game, and the average score difference came out to be +1 for Colorado. This value practically implies that this was an evenly matched game between CU and NDSU. I would even argue that this was not a convincing win for the Buffs, and if anything, they literally lucked out during the last few seconds because the Bison were going to score on them.

We need to see what the Cornhuskers offense can do against UTEP. Dylan has a lot of potential, which I love. We need to see him in action, does he make the right reads. Does he take care of the football. Can he make plays in clutch moments of the game. If the cornhusker can drop 40ish points against UTEP and hold them to 10ish. I would feel more confident going into the Colorado game.

My coworker put together an impressive pfi index to evaluate the Vegas spreads. He liked this game because the Vegas line was -10.5 and he felt it was a lot closer to -2. Colorado is pretty volatile

Nebraska has a top 10 defense in FBS, I’m not sure what NDSU’s defense would equate to in FBS, but Nebraska’s D line will be pressuring Sanders the entire game. Colorado’s defense looked poorly coached and couldn’t answer for QB draws. If NU limits turnovers and the defense brings their A game, this should be a good night in Lincoln for the Huskers.

First, the referees had a blind eye as Henderson was punching Travis, choking, holding to the point Travis had to slam him to get him off finally the refs call one, the touchdown that the QB had should have been called back he held Travis again. There d-line was playing dirty , this game was a mess should have been 3 -42 CU with all the penalties, Shilo hit henderson late to give him the same treatment he gave Travis... The defense will get it together, they weren't prepare for Cam to get out so early he is the leader and talker for the secondary. This was a good game its week one, they got the win and will make adjustment. Nebraska is more predictable so CU will be fine.

Nebraska should have a strong run game against CU, which should set up the passing game nicely. CU is weak at the line backer position so Nebraska's tight end could have a huge day. Our DBs and Dline are much better than NSDU, so a strong pass rush will negate a lot of the passing yardage for CU. I pick Nebraska and the points.

I think they are in for a rough season, NDSU had a new HC and a defense that wasn't up to par, and still almost pulled the upset. Honestly, Colorado's offense looks solid, but they have a glaring issue starting with their inability and or unwillingness to run the ball, If a team limits their passing attack that team is going to become extremely one dimensional. They also didn't seem to get a ton of pressure on the QB even with a weaker NDSU O Line. Overall, I think they are in for a rough year unless they make a complete 180 and fix all of those issues which takes more than one week.

One thing that I don't understand is why many defensive units will stop the other team on first and second down and then on 3rd and long they go into a prevent defense and allow the team to make a big chunk of yards or maybe the first down. In fact, at the end of the first half North Dakota State punted the ball and pinned it Colorado inside its own three. They went into a prevent defense and allowed Colorado to march down the field with very little time and score a field goal before the half. All first half Colorado struggled to move the ball against North Dakota State and yet by switching to the prevent defense they allowed Colorado to move the ball. Nebraska tends to do the same thing in which they hold the opponent to a third and long and then we'll drop back to a prevent defense that allows the team to then pick up the first down. I hope we don't see that this year. I hope we are very aggressive on 3rd down and not allow for conversions.

I think it’ll be a dog fight the first three quarters and then Colorado will out score Nebraska by 10 points. I think Nebraska will try and exploit CU’s defensive backs and line backers by throwing the rock. This game will tell us a lot about both programs and how fast they are able to improve.

What would your reaction be, of they had another touchdown on the scoreboard at the end? Remember that crazy interception? What If they scored on that drive? We know that NDSU is a good team. So we shouldn't be surprised they stuck around. Colorado appears to be right where we think they are. A bad team with 2 or 3 really good players. Their running game and offensive line didn't look very good. We shouldn't lose to them. But, I will have to see us do something good before I pull us up from the middle of the pack. We lost 4 straight games. I don't think we can be called "hot" right now.

Hot in terms of momentum. Hot in terms of recruiting and team energy. Still have to see it come together, but I’m very confident in the offense being better than what they were last year!

@@CornCrazed I can agree with you. I just gotta see before i believe, because I've believed it too many times before. We win the offseason! But we don't get the wins in the regular season. Its soooooo close. I really think we win 8 games this year. But i can pretend theres a world we miss a bowl game again. Odds are super low, but not impossible. Goi Big Red!!! I'm excited for you to be in town to watch us turn colorado into buffalo patties. the crowd is going to be electric. someone needs to bring one of those sound measuring devices and see if we break any sound records.
