They’re all WOW! Great reaction. None of his songs are the same. If he sings the same song at his concerts, he makes changes each time. He fluent in Kazakh and Russian. His English is becoming very good. He never spook a word of English until he was on the Chinese singing competition called “Singer”. He didn’t speak Chinese either. He’s working on that but he says it’s very hard.

This song is in Russian, not Kazakh. He speaks several languages, I want to say 5 and sings in at least 13. He also plays.several instruments. I love all his songs. His songs in Chinese are awesome. Careful about Stranger being blocked.

In Kazakhstan, both Kazakh and Russian are spoken and considered mother tongues. Dimash speaks Russian fluently.

Dimash sang this in Russian, which he speaks fluently since it was taught in school. Kazakh is the true native language of Kazakhstan, and Dimash sings SO PASSIONATELY in Kazakh! Please react to his Tokyo Jazz version on “Samaltau” ? It is a Kazakh folk song about a soldier forced to join World War One under the Russian Czar, walking to the front lines, not sure who will care for his aging parents; wondering if he will ever see them or his homeland again. This was sung in Russian. Both Kazakh and Russian are spoken in Kazakhstan. You should react to Dimash’s Kazakh songs though, they are all so beautiful. Dimash now sings in 13 languages, the latest being Japanese, which was perfect according to Japanese reactors. A song called Ikanaide kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp6wXpWmarV1aZY which is so beautiful! Thanks for a great reaction. If you react to Stranger be warned that it will likely be blocked due to c-py rt claims. So you need to mask it. The gentleman in white who gave him a standing ovation is Igor Krutoy, a famous Russian composer, who's written several amazing songs for Dimash. The interesting vocal style Dimash used towards the end of the song is called a vocal trill which is a classical technique and is the least familiar of the vocal manoeuvers. A singer with an even, rapid trill is a rarity. The director of the Rossini Opera Festival, Alberto Zedda has opined in an interview that the "widespread technical deficiency", the inability to trill, is a source of "frustration and anguish". Dimash modified the traditional vocal trill by adding a Yakuti yodel technique as well as an Arabic maqam which is a system of oriental scales, melodic phrases and ornamentation techniques. He did it all to perfection. It’s wonderful that he’s introduced these classical and oriental techniques into a pop song for the benefit of the non-classical world.

This was another very enjoyable reaction. This was his 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. FYI, Dimash did not win “The Voice” in China. He took part in an invite-only competition in 2017 for established professional and successful singers, which is called “I Am A Singer.” The competition consists of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months, and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live, and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. Dimash finished the competition in 2nd place. The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts. Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh KZbinr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. The final run is 21.73 seconds on one breath. This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him. There is another performance of this song of one of his more recent concerts. It is as good or better because you can hear certain parts clearer and the camera stays on him most of the time.
