You can absolutely tell Snakebite adored writing this battle in the way they portray Nagito. I get the biggest smile on my face throughout his second verse as he replicates some Nagito sprite poses, even plotting out using normal and crazy-eyed variations of his preaching hope sprites on the two blackened lines. I've watched this battle half a dozen times as is and love picking out the details. The fact the performance mirrors Nagito's in game character arc by digging deeper into his insanities is beautiful. Couple that with how his set locations are chronological to DR2's events - First Island Beach, Class Trial, the Hotel Mirai burnings, and then the laptop video at the end. Picking apart this video of details and finding new ones has been amazing, and you can absolutely tell everyone behind this video had love for the series they wanted to share here.

I would say Dream had a slight edge in the first half but Nagito crushed dream more thoroughly than what the giant press did to Junko at the end of DR1. So because of that overwhelming difference, I'd say Nagito was the winner.

The best for me was "I went through with one goal: exposing the traitor While you got exposed, exploiting the traders" because the dangan ref was obvious (nagito tried to expose the traitor among their group by killin himself and making the traitor the killer👏) and the dream one was because he cheated on his speedrun for exploiting the piglin trade and bumped up the e-pearl drops, its so good but very overlooked by everyone ngl 😔

I think Dream won, but Nagito also did really good. If you're interested in reacting to non Danganronpa related Rap Battles, I'd suggest watching the rest of Freshy's channel, specifically starting with Norman Bates vs Jack Torrance. The only reason for that is because it's my personal favorite. It's not the craziest, but it is easily one of the most solid experiences you'll get from a Freshy Battle.
