@Brandy- Elvis knew how he wanted every song to be arranged. He was a perfectionists. I recommend you sometime go down the rabbit hole of the greatest group ever The Beatles. John, Paul, George, and Ringo.

The Greatest music producer ever! This should be required in every music history class in every university and high school, in the world. He's a perfectionist and can hear all of the parts of the song, all at once. The Sweet Inspirations were always perfection, too.

Thanks for showing rehearsal session this one was kind of serious where most of his are jovial. He was executive Producer of his own music. He was a perfectionist on what his sound was like. He loved the Sweet Inspirations. They didn't even have to audition for, him, He saw them and ask if they would consider working for him. They said he was an angel to them, often paying their medical bills and buying them cars. You have to see his tender talk session with them. "Elvis talks to the Sweet Insirations/words". That hotel is now the Westgate in Las Vegas and even though its 3x the size now the ballrooms where he rehearsed are still there. And when there are no events it serves as a shortcut between the Las Vegas Convention Center and the hotel lobby. and its so cool walking thru that space knowing Elvis rehearsed there. Btw "Bridge" by Elvis, if i had to hear only one song by one artist for the rest of my life, this would be this song.. Its so interesting how he arranges and helps compose his version while not knowing how to read and write music. The Sweet Inspirations were the Queens of blending their voices. And you better start taking care of yourself, young lady! Feel better!

No worries on forgetting my name! ;) So much to unwrap from this video so I'll stick with the most basic: I think it's funny how he tries to get a reaction from the Sweet Inspirations at the start with his bad jokes. Right at around the 3:01 mark, Elvis says "Yeah". He clearly likes the transition he's hearing in that part of the arrangement. Great analysis and I was happy to hear your own experience and perspective having sung in a choir.

A lot of people don't realize how much Charlie Hodge and Glenn Hardin (the piano player) helped arrange and sing back up harmony on many of the tunes Elvis performed live. Elvis couldn't read music like a lot of unique performers and often sought their guidance. Put some heat over that ear. Put a wash cloth or something similar in the microwave and heat it. It doesn’t take long at all to heat it. Maybe ten seconds at a time in the microwave until it gets to the temp you want. I’ve dealt with infections my entire 52 years on earth. Hope you feel better soon! Great reaction. As someone said earlier, Elvis was a very underrated producer.
