english is a second language to the Philippines. when you go to government offices and stuff like that. Documents are written in english most of the time. aside from people from poverty that didn't get to attend school, everyone can pretty much understand english. while most people can speak. the majority can speak fluently and the others may not be fluent but it's enough to be conversational. but pretty much everyone you come across can understand you. Back in my old neighborhood there was even a homeless girl roaming around speaking fluent english, she used to be a valedictorian in my local college, but circumstances happened to her I guess. other than that. Most people can speak english. Grammar isn't a problem, but we do have a strong accent, although we can pretty much imitate american accents lol.

Filipino and English are the official languages of the Philippines. History Wise English was Introduced to the Philippines and was taught mandatory during the American Colonization after Spain ceded control. particularly during the Philippine Commonwealth in which the country was unincorporated territory of the United States. the golden arrow wish bus was around when COVID social distancing was mandatory so they performed in 2 buses. Huwag Muna Tayo Umuwi live on Rappler is also worth a watch.

English is one of our official languages in the Philippines. We can't escape it 😂, signs and documents are in English. School is taught mostly in English. Most of us are fluent in English. Everyone in Bini is fluent, esp Mikha. Her first language is English. :)
@AFandF10 күн бұрын
Almost everybody in the Philippines speak English. Granted, a lot may not be perfectly fluent but everybody understands it and can express themselves in the language. Fun fact: there are more English speaking people in the Philippines than in England, lol!

Aiah is perhaps the most fluent in English. She’d get an A in college level English, probably perform better than me who grew up in the US 🤣 (she’s a Dean’s lister aka very smart). Mikha also grew up in a mostly English-speaking environment, so Tagalog is probably her second language. For the rest of the members, English is their second or third language, but they are also fluent. The crowd dancing outside are probably the uncles and aunties doing Zumba lessons 🤣

On Golden Arrow, it was performed at the tail end of the pandemic, thus social distancing was still enforced. That is the reason that 2 Wish Buses were used, and if you notice the crowd outside are wearing face masks, and they are spread out. If it was a normal situation, it would have been crowded. On No Fear, whenever you see them cramped up inside the bus, it is because its a smaller version ( like a tour bus is size ) that is located in Hollywood, California USA. The big Wish Buses are located in Manila, Philippines, and it has more advanced audio/video equipment. In case you have not heard, BINI will have a World Tour starting in mid February 2025. ( Philippines, Singapore, Dubai, London, USA= 3 cities ) The outfits are vintage inspired from the 70's from a local designer in the PH, no clue who it is .On the dance practices, no issues on copyright, so view the entire performances. Enjoy!

during the shooting of golden arrow, it was still mid pandemic they had to perform in a separate buses for saftey purposes, and that's their very first wish bus performance, they were still nervous that time as you can see on their faces and body language but they still ate!

filipino english is based on american english and we can mimic other accents. philippines is the 5th country that has the most english speakers. you can watch their interview videos last year while they were in LA they all speaks english and fluent, but majority of them are super shy to express their thoughts while talking publicly especially on interviews.
@thisiselijah3789 күн бұрын
all of them are fluent in english, all their interviews internationally are in english. english is basically our 2nd language here in the philippines. most of our subjects in school are in english; be it math or science haha

Friendly piece of advice: stop talking over them singing. ESPECIALLY for wish bus videos because you’re supposed to listen to the entirety of the run and we want to see you’re reaction to some specific killer vocal parts, most of which you missed because of talking over. No hate, really, dgmw. Just a point of opportunity in your future videos!
