I don't think it's fair to label an artist as part of the "Incel sound" just because some incels like them otherwise a lot of artists even critically acclaimed ones like Radiohead would be considered "incel/femcel" adjacent because a very small subset of their fans call themselves incels. If an artist makes dogs whistles to Incel talking points then sure call them out, otherwise you'd make the discussion around music more obnoxious than it already is.

From what I've heard, Anna Indiana actually uses an uncredited voice bank. It functions similarly to Vocaloid characters like Hatsune Miku and honestly if they wanted to be more successful, combining with the voice bank singer and its owner to make a new V-Idol where the production community makes the music would probably have been way more successful.
@wuwubean11 ай бұрын
Here's the kicker, 99% of SynthV voice banks (the program she uses) do have characters attached to them. The one that sounds most similar to Anna is Natalie, but she claims she's not using her. Anna said in a post she's just using SynthV for the vocals without Natalie (that's not really a thing you can do but okay) and using another vocal AI for the voice. My best guess is she's using one of the demo voice banks (my money's on Eleanor Forte LITE) and using another program to put the vocal AI she actually has rights to over it. And the best part? SynthV does use AI for some voicebanks, but not the demo ones. The only AI part of her voice is the glorified voice changer she puts on at the end.

22:48 Calling Meghan Trainor mother, is absolute bs, because there were 6 people who genuinely have the right to be called mother, this year alone. There was the band Screaming Females, which was lead by, lesbian rocker and guitar god, Marissa Paternoster. Their album “Desire Pathway” was full of punk and grunge bangers and rocked my face off. Then there was Avelo/Dreamsounds, a trans lady, KZbinr/burgeoning musician, who’s, last ever Disney video, updated a topic she had made a video about before, The Orange Bird Song and Anita Bryant, with context of what is happening, in the current day, and how she wishes that song could come back, as it is one of her favorites, in an updated way. She ended the video by saying if Disney was not gonna shine a new, recontexulized, light on the song, she would do it, which lead into her cover of The Orange Bird Song, with some new lyrics and other trans women singing backup. Then there was the British rock that is full of queer people, FIZZ, whose album “The Secret To Life” and their song “The Grand Finale” brought their version of The Beatles sound to the young punks/art punks, that gave me the absolute best fuzzy happy feeling. Then there is 12 year trans girl and trans activist Kai Shappley, who 2 years ago, testified in Texas’s state legislature, where she used to live with her family, to have her voice be heard about an Texas state anti trans bill that was put up for vote. The bill was eventually vetoed, with help from Kai. In 2023 she started a web show where she discussed politics with her friends and other trans kids from around the country, on issues and policies in America, that could affect trans kids such as them. The family fearing for her safety have since moved away from Texas, just as Dwyane Wade and his family moved away from Florida, for the safety of his trans daughter Zaya. Then there’s Dylan Mulvaney, who has gotten a lot press this year for daring to be in a few ads, from major brands and staying true to herself with her # day of being a woman series. Finally there is Trace Lysette, a trans actress who is campaigning for the Oscars, with her absolutely groundbreaking performance in the film Monica. She is making great headway, appearing on many news programs, daytime talk shows, having screenings of Monica, with Q&As afterwards. She even got to have an Academy screening, which is so rare for a trans film, campaigning for the Oscars. I know there are just 6 people I mentioned, but there are tons of other LGBTQIA+ people who easily have the right to be called mother over Meghan Trainor.

Rap critics song sounds exactly like KRS-One the only problem is KRS-One has production value and meaning.. well his new music isnt all that great, he kind of just says things- it's sad to see from someone with such a strong legacy.

Brad's take on "Watch the World Burn" is excellent. Every time the song has come up in my playlist I straight skip to the 2/3rds point of the song, straight past the rap portion.

I've seen some fears recently over the recent trend of like "AI" covers and how they sound... not good, by any means, but surprisingly OK. It took me a moment to get that this sounds so much worse because it's not a filter being applied to an already created song, and without the framework it can't fill in the blanks properly. So yeah, those might be slightly more concerning than this, but at least we know real human talent is going to be needed with the technology as it is.
