Props to John Legend for fitting his vocals into Faouzia’s as it was recorded only as a solo song for her initially. He was added at the end. They did not actually work together until filming this video. Director Kyle Corgan, got started doing NFL graphics, but has done many music videos now too. This was beautiful, cinematic. It was all practical effects on site in California. Dust bombs, piano in the lake, hair extensions, etc. No green screen, though I expect there was typical digital magic in post-production. Kyle Corgan also directed her video for “Puppet”. More Tim Burton-esque. Mostly close ups. I don’t think she ever gets to stretch on the official releases of her songs. That’s why I appreciate her stripped or live versions so much. This song was originally written by composer Sam Martin. Many co-writers added to this version, including Charlie Puth who played piano on the recording and Faouzia herself. More acting in her “Puppet” and “Hero” official videos. “Elon” from the stripped concert or her live concerts illustrate what can be done just sitting down, with a microphone. As with her Stripped version of “Tears of Gold”.

I really appreciate your perspective in these reactions but I want to steer you towards some Faouzia videos that really will show you her acting...the emotion she puts into it and that you can feel watching it. Two of my top choices for you would be "How It All Works Out (Stripped)" and "Bad Dreams (Stripped)". You'll really enjoy that vocally and from the performance aspect!

Both are great singers and the video was beautiful. Faouzia is one of my favorites.
