Even though this episode wasn't as action oriented as a few others, I still thought it was one of the craziest and most surprising. Never thought a Helluva Boss episode would end with Blitzo just crying..... I still can't help but tear up a little every time I watch it.

Moxxie and Millie are adorable together thats for certain also the person who voices Asmodeus and sings for him, James Monroe is a performer who is somewhat famous for his portrayal of the genie from Aladdin in the Broadway version of it, probably why he is so good at singing aha, he was defiantly a highlight of this episode

This episode shocked me i never would have thought that Blitzø would be a childhood friend of Fizzaroli. And the drama arround him was pressuring. He pushed Stolas away in such a harsh way. I know that there are 2 possible reasons 1 would be because he doesnt sees himself worthy and pushes himself down and the other would be so that stolas wouldnt throw his family away for him.i cant wait for the next episode. Love your reactions.

So I think Blitz actually has what's called "Intimacy Anxiety", or "Fear of Intimacy". As a coach, and as a teacher, you two may have had players and students go through this when they have had really traumatic times in their lives, where they just couldn't develop social lives because they were terrified of having healthy relationships with other people. They looked at themselves as the outcast and even when their peers were trying to take them in, it just seemed like all they wanted was to be self destructive, yet they still wanted to feel like they belonged. Intimacy Anxiety doesn't specifically have to be about romantic relationships, and it doesn't specifically have to be caused by a bad romantic relationship. It's normally caused from someone that experiences something horrible in their lives and they blame themselves for it, and because of that, they feel like they are the cause of why things went South, and to them, it's just easier to not be so attached so that when they do go, it won't hurt their hearts as bad. It also kinda explains why Blitz stated he goes to see a therapist (to limited success), and why he keeps pushing Stolas away. He just feels that he isn't worthy of happiness, because everything always goes wrong for him, but he feels that it's because it's just him and not the way he treats others.

The last few minutes of this episode were just heartrending. Aside from Blitz's reaction to seeing the photo of his sister and mother, which just hit me like a truck, there were also a lot of additional details that were in the background...re-watching the end part to look for them also involved ice cream and Baileys. The photos on the walls of his apartment are all of the characters and events he cares about, Moxxie, Millie, Loona, and he's even got her adoption certificate up there...but he's removed himself from every one of them. Any time he would appear, he's covered that part of the image with black marker. It's like he views all of those events and characters as being better off without him being there...just a little red flag there. Side note: Loona's the only one who would see the photos on a regular basis; what her take on them is could be important in understanding their dynamic. We also got to see part of why he's...obsessed with Moxxie and Millie. They have what he desperately wants. Heck, it seemed to me that in this episode, Stolas was looking for more than just another romp, but Blitz's character is convinced that all he could be to someone like Stolas is a toy to be used and discarded when no longer of interest.

One big point though, he also wants to prove that their love isn't as great as they seem(though they prove it is) by the moment where he tries to get in on the insulting by saying their sex life is pathetic then looking around hoping for laughs. But then gets the spotlight on him.

@@Lorddacenshadowind I'm not sure I agree with you on that one. That instance seemed to be more designed specifically to deflect attention away from them, and on to him. We've seen this behavior previously in that he picks on those he cares about more often when it's just within the group...really Moxxie's the only one who he's dug into in larger groups. When others have actively threatened them, he's been quite protective, even going so far as to physically place himself between them and their aggressors. Oddly enough, his self-hatred plays into this, as he may well view shifting the focus as a natural consequence of him being a toxic pariah. Him getting hurt doesn't really matter. Given what we've now seen about his past, he'd have to expect that Fizz would recognize him, and much like the robotic version displayed...there's just a tiny bit of bad blood between them. The one wrinkle here is that, it was already clear that both Blitz and Stolas were worried about certain demons in the club, and by drawing attention to himself, Blitz also would do so to Stolas. Given what happened next, that may have been an error on his part, but the comments about Moxxie and Millie, that may have been him trying to take the brunt of the ire.

This is probably actually my favorite episode of the show as of yet. This is an episode that just cements the fact that if you look just right under the surface this isnt a show just about an Imp trying to make the best of a situation where he is of the lowest class in hell. This show is more about broken people, dysfunctional people that just can't seem to catch a break. And none is a better example of this than Blitz and Stolas. Blitz has these walls he has put up around himself to not let anyone get close in any way. This is most likely a result of something that happened early in his life. As we can see he breaks down when he sees the picture of him and his two sisters Barbie Wire and Tilla. Most likely something happened between Blitz and Barbie that Blitz blames himself for, He was most likely very very close to her as they are twins and worked together in the circus. And these kind of things just kinda seems to keep happening to him where things go wrong and he gets the blame no matter if it is actually his fault or not. And he gets genuinely hurt when Fizz points out "Last time I checked your love life is a pile of shit". He ends up walking into a situation where he gets confronted by people he cared for in the past. This is most likely why he so obsessively follows Moxxie and Millie, he wants what they have but at the same time he feels that no one would ever be capable of loving him because he doesn't love himself. He actually hates himself and this is very much supported by the fact that in his apartment all off the photos on his wall of him and the people he cares about he has actually gone and crossed himself out of the pictures with a marker, Most likely because he feels that they would be better of without him. As for what he says in the car to Stolas about Stolas only wanting Blitz to have sex with him I believe that it's something that has festered in Blitz's mind all this time but I think it got cemented stuck when Stolas comes to his rescue in the 6th episode he refers to Blitz as "My impish little plaything" now Stolas most likely said this to try and spare Blitz's feeling or to try and not embarrass him infront of his friends but I don't think that Blitz realized that and thinks that Stolas only sees him as a plaything. And it's not helped by the fact that Blitz sees Stolas try to hide his face at Ozzie's when Azmodeus and the others point out that he is sleeping with an Imp and Azmodeus particularly uses the line "oh how the mighty have fallen". But he also points out that Stolas "sold his life for a thrust" in the fact that he pretty much threw away his marriage and a lot of his daughters respect and love for him because he wanted to sleep with Blitz. What Blitz doesn't seem to realize is that Stolas gave away a lot of the things he cared about because he feels genuine love for Blitz. But Blitz is just so stuck in his self-loathing that he doesn't believe that anyone would or even could love him for any reason, hence why he can't see how Stolas feels for him. It's really sad but it's a common thing among people with really love self-esteem. It gets to a point where you feel that you don't deserve love because you have convinced yourself that you are a horrible person with no redeeming qualities. Now the thing is that this season can either end really happily or really really tragically. For it to end happily I believe that Blitz would have to be shown that he deserves love and that people do infact love him. But sadly I think that will be very difficult because it seems like Blitz has just gone years and years and years believing that there is no loveable factors about him. It will be really interesting to see how this end but at the same time I kinda dread it.

@@elkito88 Yes I am very much aware off that, what I was trying to say is that this season could end really badly, and just cuz the first season ends badly doesnt mean that the 2nd season has to have things go in a positive way for the characters. Vivzie seems like the kinda of creator that isnt afraid to show that not everything ends happily. Not everything will always work out in the end. The fact is that life isnt fair and I can see Vivzie trying to reflect that in her stories.

Everyone is crying after this episode. But i came with a pretty interesting idea: Lust ring is based off Las Vegas and its many clubs. The most famous club in the Lust ring would be of couse Asmodeus's since he is the ruler of this ring. And what if Hell has the same saying as Las Vegas - what is done in Vegas (Ozzie's), stays in Vegas (Ozzie's). Their little love secret will not get out of there too quickly but knowing Viv, it will be used against them one way or another...

Just looking at the background and seeing Blitzo's face scribbled out in the pictures of his own home says a lot about how Blitzo is self loathing. But I felt so bad for Stolas. Especially that opening and beginning of that date. I've been there.

I've seen this episode a few times and during the first viewing I definitely bad for Stolas and I still do. But at least from how things went it's very much Stolas' fault for Blitz's hard rejection at the end. Blitz called Stolas as a means to an end to get into the club. Basically the same way Stolas has treated Blitz in the past by making him his booty call. Sure Stolas seems to really like Blitz but I can see with Blitz's self loathing and being too trapped into his own mind for him to completely miss the signals. Nonetheless in the beginning of the "date" Blitz mostly ignores Stolas in order to check on Moxxi and Millie but then at least from his expression gets caught off guard when Stolas seems to take an interest in his work and personal life. Only then to get interrupted by Asmodeus and Fizzarolli and when the part happens where Asmodeus is calling out Stolas for giving up on his wife in order to be with an imp Stolas hides his face behind the menu card while Blitz is watching him and seeing Stolas acting like he is embarrassed to be seen with Blitz by a higher ranking demon than him. Which contrasts Stolas' willingness to hang out in public with Blitz in front of imps. Obviously my interpretation of the whole thing can be completely wrong. :D Nonetheless I dearly hope we'll get a point in the show where Stolas and Blitz actually have an open conversation. But seeing the rest of the show this probably might not be for a while and definitely not without more roadblocks on the way. The catch about Blitz's face beeing scribble out is such a good detail and gives so much insight into his private life when he is not surrounded by people.

He openly flirts with Blitz while surrounded by weaker demons like imps, he even wasn't afraid to be seen with him in a club until he realized whose club it was, then you can clearly see the worry on his face.

This episode was such a heart wrencher. And it confused me too because of the last episode. Blitz seemed to see how much his behavior was pushing everyone away and even showed a little bit of change at the end. This episode though he goes right back to the same Blitz pushing people away again and even just using stolas and then pushing him away while he was trying. This episode just hits hard.

Yeah this was pretty sad tbh. I assume that the people in blitz's pic was his family. Anyway, fitsoreli lol idk if I spelled that right but he's basically apart of the circus group that took blitz in. Blitz is...... pretty lonely and might have some abandonment issues like pushing people away before they leave him.

Two tearjerker moments; 1; Blitz’s voice subtly breaking when he tells Stolas “I can’t do this right now” 2; Stolas’s last heartfelt “Blitz?”, he wasn’t using his diminutive pet name “Blitzy” like he normally does. Also, speaking as someone who is dealing with bad bouts of severe clinical depression, it’s clear that Blitz is suffering from severe clinical depression, the feelings of worthlessness, that nothing is going right, and it’s only going to get worse, it just grinds you down, and crushes you into nothing, you go beyond sadness into just …numbness, nothing matters anymore, and nothing will get better, you end up putting on a “mask” just to get through the day, just to keep the unhelpful people (“just stop being sad”) off your case, but it’s just a mask.

I may have to rewatch the beach dialogue in Ep3 Spring Broken between Blitz and Loona about her adoption, with the information we have now, her rejection of him being her father (it shouldn’t matter, I don’t need you) may land differently now, it also explains why he’s so threatened by Tex, he’s afraid Tex will “take Loonie away” from him, and Loona is the only one who cares even slightly for him…

What always got me is the fact that he said "im sorry" to stolas, he doesn't seem like the character that has ever apologized to anyone on or off what we see, and i think he honestly think it shows that in some way he actually does care for stolas like stolas has slowly shown how much he cares for blits and when they were called out and stolas hid behind his menu it really hurt him and sent blits back emotionally multiple steps

James Monroe Iglehart, who voices Asmodeus, previously played Vortex in episode 3. That was just a speaking role but here, he gets to show his talents. He is most known for playing the genie in Aladdin on Broadway. At first you might think those two characters are extremely different but really, not so much. The big difference is of course, their moral alignment. But both are very animated and brightly colored. When they take the stage, that have a huge presence that demands the spotlight. They can take over the scene just with their movements and not just their singing.

17:36 We see multiple memories from Blitzo’s photo album. Blitzo & Stolas in bed. Moxxie & Millie Another with Moxxie Adopting Loona When Blitzo dated Verosika Blitzo & Fizzaroli for 2 pictures in a row. And the last one is Blitzo’s biological family (a sister to the left, and the one at the top was formerly a sister in the pilot, whom we believe is now a mother figure in the show.) The most noteworthy photos seem to be the one with Blitzo & Fizzaroli. Many noticed that Fizzaroli appears to be an Imp, donning a set of horns just like Blitzo, except they now look like jester hats and bounce around like one, and the same heart-shaped symbol (birthmark?) on his forehead as Blitzo. So…Fizzaroli may be an estranged brother of Blitzo’s who made it big in hell and kicked Blitzo to the curb. So when Blitzo’s family made it big, his ex resents him, his daughter distances herself from him and hangs out with friends, and his employees have a stable, loving, monogamous relationship, where does that leave him, but alone…He doesn’t really have a support system that’s always with him, and he probably doesn’t wanna get close to Stolas out of fear of another person leaving him, again supported by the acid trip from the previous “D.H.O.R.K.S.” episode a couple months back, where he was climbing the staircase in shackles up toward Stolas…Poor Blitzo 🥺

Seeing a Demon Prince eating Lucky Charms in front of the TV in a depressed state and then to get a date that ended in disaster and both people feel like crap afterwards. Yea that’s a relatable mood 😢

If you pay attention to everything from the plot to now everything adds up to this episode, in every picture on his wall are of those he loves but his face is scratched out, he loves Luna like she was his daughter, stolus loves blitz and vice versa but because of blitz’s self destructive behavior he doesn’t see a future with anyone ( friends or more ). Fizzorati and him were childhood friends, but blitz is so messed up that in his mind it doesn’t matter if he treats them like shit or if he treats them well because they will leave him anyway no matter what. As for the last pic on his phone well that’s up for debate it’s rumored that it could be a pic of his sister and mother but I’m not sure of that. And when ozzmodious called out stolus for being with an imp he covered his face which upset blitz.

Kinda late with my opinion, but i'll still make a comment of it regardless. Some people might think that Asmodeus was judging Stolas for sleeping with Blitz, but he basically praised him by saying, "that's the spirit of lust". Even if he did kind of made fun of him, what he said there should be taken as a compliment, rather than an insult. Some people also think that Asmodeus hates "love-dovey things", meanwhile he exactly has a relationship like that with Fizzarolli. (Which has been confirmed not only just in this episode, but in 2 scenes of the 2022 trailer.) He actually doesn't. They tried to make Moxxie sing something else, because this place is not about "love", but lust. And the reason why he kicked out Millie and Moxxie, is mainly because Millie quite literally asassulted his worker/partner. I really hope to see more of their relationship, considering the interesting things that has been in the trailer about Asmodeus and Fizzarolli.

This was a great episode, Although i enjoy the dark, grotesque humour of the rest of the series, this was just jam packed with good story, and an amazing musical piece. the lyrics actually had meaning, which is more then i can say for modern music.

Tragedy is the companion to comedy which is a long standing thing in theater. They have represented both very well and set the bar unbelievably high for the completion of the series. However there really is a lot to process. Blitzo follows Millie and Moxie so much because he wants what they have. He has a self sabotaging tendency of ruining relationships when they start to get real. Verosika we can assume before he ruined that one was happy with him. She acts the way she does because she is hurt and angry. Stolas had a marriage that was falling apart even without Bitzo. His wife only cared about the status and Stolas left deeply lonely in a hollow relationship. Blitzo won't let himself have love though he wants it and Stolas is reaching out trying to reach past a wall that he likely doesn't want to let himself see. Those ending moments hit hard because on the stairs is when we see the moment when you see Stolas has his heart broken and Blitzo going through past history alone ending in crying over his own hurt. No up until this episode it's been more heavy on the comedy even though there were character building moments. This episode let the reality, gravity of their relationships and feelings hit hard. It gives a much greater depth to the characters. Even in the real world relationships are not easy and have moments of hardship. We as the viewer want our character to have that happy ending but the sad moments can deepen a viewer's connection with that character. We don't have control over what happens next but hey there is always hope. I hope Stolas and Blizo patches things up and Verosika finds her own happiness. Don't need to worry for Loona cause she looks like she is doing fine. Octavia and Verosika need more screen time though.

You both may have caught on later, but the Fizzaroli that appeared in this episode is the real deal. The robot one (Robo-Fizzaroli) from episode 2 was crafted in his likeness to resemble him. Fizzaroli’s charismatic personality made him a real sex symbol in hell, in which many “love-robots” were made after him that demons purchase in the lust ring. One of these robots was personally left in Loo-Loo Land as something of a mascot more than the former function. Gotta admit though, it is kinda weird if we can assume they were ALL programmed to share the original Fizzaroli’s memories of Blitzo, since the one at the circus had no issue teasing Blitzo about his past. The robotic whirring and sound effects we heard from Fizzaroli I think was just a design choice to call back to the fact we saw his robots before, and not him being a robot. Also, I feel really bad for Blitzo but more-so Stolas in this episode. If I had to guess, Stolas never had the chance to date anyone in hell, as due to his Royal status, he was probably just forced/rushed into a marriage with Stella. I think he really wanted to connect with Blitzo and it just…fell through. 🥺😔 One more thing, Ozzie shares Tex/Vortex’s voice actor. As a reminder, Tex is the hellhound that Loona had a crush on in episode 3.

Hello! This is one of my favorite episodes yet. I love your reactions. I don't know if you want recommendations on videos to watch or not so I'm just going to give you one. My recomendation is from a fairly new youtuber called "Glitch" and the video is an animated series called "Murder Drones". It is only on it's pilot but so far, it has been really good and kind of reminds me of helluva boss. I see why Blitz is hurt, Stolas should of stood up for him. Sure Blitz dragged Stolas out on a date with different intentions but if Stolas is so concerned about his position and what others would think then he shouldn't have agreed to the date in the first place. We all know how scary Stolas can be and if he really wanted to he could easily scare anyone back in line if they judge his relationship with a Imp. He genuinely wants Blitz and cares about him, sooner or later he will hopefully act on those feelings and learn to stop caring about the maintaining the image of his messed up failed family.

Blitz destroyed the fizzaroli robot at lulu land and I'm hoping blitz takes out the real fizzaroli in part 2. They were childhood friends and the last photo was blitz sister because of the same marking they have.

I’ve heard about this one theory that blitz’s dad saw that blitz wasn’t doing doing as well as Barbie in their sibling act,so he made blitz sit out or blitz got hurt and had to sit out and blitz’s dad saw Barbie was doing better than him so,Barbie did a solo act and became famous,at the time fizz was a clown(since we see he’s a imp that has a clown outfit on)so fizz offered that blitz join him as a clown,which blitz agrees but,seeing that fizz is more skilled and doing better than him blitz becomes cold towards fizz,fizz started asking if blitz was ok but he would just be ignored or brushed off,one day he might have made a offensive or just a normal remark about the show,either way blitz got angry and they had a argument,then blitz made a challenge where both of them would do solo acts,blitz lost the deal(we can see this because the fizz in the hallucination was more similar to the real fizz,it also said”you tried a solo act that didn’t work out so well”)fizz then made remarks after each show,one of which could’ve been something about Blitz holding barbie back,blitz became furious,so while fizz was doing a solo act one time,blitz climbed up to the stage lights and bags,as blitz started cutting wires stage hands caught him we all know blitz would fight back,in the commotion the stage lights fell and crushed fizz,he survived but lost his arms,legs,and maybe some other body parts in the process,while he was getting robo enhancements, blitz had confessed to doing it,causing their strained friendship to end,maybe causing fizz to be even more rude toward blitz causing blitz to hate him. Theory by:MissUnamusedNerd,and some others It’s just a theory though,idk if it’s true yet but it’s a theory,me and some others might agree with

The ring in this episode takes place in is the ring of lust only Demons no former Humans, Blitz most likely lost his family he is wearing his sister's necklace, Asmodeus used to be an Angle like Lucifer, however he is not as powerful as Lucifer he was not an arc Angle like Lucifer and Asmodeus is voiced and sang by the Broadway actor James Monroe Iglehart who played Genie in the Aladdin Musical ironically his in show lover is voiced by another Broadway actor that of Beetle Juice from the Beetle Juice musical. As usual glad you two liked the episode and I loved watching you two react great job.

I'm not sure the Sins in this universe are fallen angels. The way I've interpreted things, the Sins have always been demons, and Lucifer is the only fallen angel. But I don't think there's been confirmation either way yet, so I guess we'll have to wait for future seasons to be sure :)
