The version of Home Free is the best in my eyes. Austin has such a wonderful voice, just fantastic. And the background music is so clear, so perfect, Adam's beatboxing is phenomenal and Tim's bass is so good. I love this song. These guys are the best. Great reaction!

Practically speechless-describes us all while listening to this! I’ve watched it so many times I knew in advance when you would “blush”!!!! I’m an old lady and “oh, my!” Plus his singing is amazing too! 😉

I've heard some say that his lady love was off camera and those looks were at her. If true, that could explain the emotional authenticity in his voice and on his face.

Thank you for your reaction. Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

Great reaction. I looked back at all the Home Free songs you have done and believe you are well and truly ready for "Mayday". Like this one, you should look at a few of their others first.
@rcinsley2 жыл бұрын
Amazingly, NO, she isn't ready yet. She's heard lots of HF songs, but I think a singly one featured Chance. All of the Sing-Off performances were to old line-up (before Chris bowed out and Chance took the 5th slot.) Without knowing Tim's and Chance's voices well, she won't get the full impact of "Mayday." Chance solos in "American Pie", "The Gambler", and "Some Girls Do." He hits a home run in "Cover Me Up" (and sings great, too!)

This is a year after you reacted to this video, but I must say that I thouroughly enjoyed watching you enjoy what you were seeing and hearing. too many reactors over analyze, even to the point of interrupting the true performance of a composition many, many times. As a life long musician it makes me remember the feelings I had that first time I listened to a piano player that started me on the road of music and song. I was 11 years old and the artist was Floyd Craimer, the song was Last Date. That was in 1961. I watched as you were feeling every note and every word and every nuance of Austins performance. Was it perfect? Well, that is subject to the opinion of the audience. Well done Samantha.

All the ladies have the same reaction! We understand completely! Austin is special and very gifted! He has that Southern Gentleman Swag and Charm! It's kinda natural for the southern guy's! I'm from South Georgia, I grew up about an hour from his hometown and trust me southern guy's have that in spades! Home Free just never disappoint! May I please request your reaction to a couple new releases from Tim? " COME GO WITH ME" " WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW?" I think you are going to be surprised on those! Also please check out Tim with his version of "CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE WITH YOU" Tim Foust . It's audio only but it is SO very worth the listen! He plays the piano on it and it's been known to cause heart palpitations!!! I know! It did for me! Thank you so much! Love from South Georgia!❤️😃😀🍟

This version was the first time I had paid attention to the lyrics. I don't know how many times I had heard the original, but never noticed what the song was about.

The story is that the original singer, Percy Sledge, had had a breakup with his gal and, although he didn't compose this song, he recorded it in 1966 to describe his emotions about the breakup. The song was a big hit for him and now a home run for Home Free as well.

Wow is about as much I can express about this. I've still to see a reaction to this where the reactor, male or female, doesn't fall a little bit in love with Austin, his voice or his soul. But if you very the chance sir back and keep your focus on the harmonies because the way they float on top of the beat and the bass and how Austin's lead soars above really takes it to yet another level. Gorgeous, most definitely! Thank you! 🥰🙏

Here is my analysis: Samantha, I like how you are getting your hair all ready before the song has even begun just based on the title of the song. That giddy laugh a few seconds in after Austin's first sentence is sung tells it all. You look like a kid in the candy store lol. You were sucked in completely at the 3:14 min mark. The 3:59 mark you were in trouble. The 4:21 mark you were in BIG trouble. At the 5:14 mark the estrogen was overflowing and you were not in control any longer. The 6:09 mark was awesome and you had me laughing with you. You were twitterpated at 6:18! At the 7:07 mark you were obviously feeling it.

S - There's one HF song that we Home Fries urge all reactors to "save for later", and that is their cover of "Mayday" by Cam. You've listened to a lot of HF performances, but I don't think you "know" Chance's voice well enough to get maximum enjoyment out of "Mayday." As you know, Chance replaced founding member Chris Rupp in 2016, so none of the Sing Off performances included Chance. He's had solos in a number of the newer songs, but I don't think you've gotten to one yet. Before you schedule "Mayday," I hope you'll react to a song featuring Chance. Good choices will include "American Pie," "The Gambler," "Some Girls Do," and "Cover Me Up." ("Cover Me Up" has it's own little surprise, too!)
