Yes, Woozi and his regular writing partner DID do a lot of work on the song, and Hoshi spent the (very brief) promotion period bragging on Woozi. I love them. The primary choreographer was Choi Youngjun, who has worked with SVT on a LOT of their title tracks, including the ones with the most iconic choreography. Spider is, imo, the best kpop choreo this year, and nothing else comes close. I definitely get the sense that Youngjun had a lot of fun with this one - a chance to be as creative as he wanted with a talented performer who he's also close with. Everything about Spider is SO Hoshi, and I think you can really tell that some of the main creative minds behind it know him really well, personally and professionally/creatively.

Hoshi is just a big ball of energy, definitely Seventeen's hypeman. Funfact, "Hurricane" intially stemmed as a joke. He mentioned on a show once that he told the group when he debuts as a solo, his debut album will be called "H" and the title track would be "Hurricane" and performed the BU-Ra-ra Hurriance! And then a year or 2 later, he comes out with "Hurricane" at the Seventeen concert. "Spider" was released as a mixtape so he didn't really promote it. I think he only performed it on one music show. If I remember correctly, every member of Seventeen has at least one solo song that they've performed at a concert. Most of them haven't been officially released yet. Off the top of my head, Woozi's "Simple" is the only one that's actually on a Seventeen album. But there's plenty of Seventeen solo songs to go around, you can probably make an entire week just on their solo songs and solo covers. And just accept that you can't have 1 bias in Seventeen and you will be continuously wrecked by every member at some point. Like, one of my current favorite members was one I initially ranked near the bottom of my list, I still slap myself over that xD

Carats really don't mind longer reaction videos. We love it even more when reactors give attention to details and find out more. It's amazing when their work gets appreciated for its entirety. If you even wanna go the extra mile, every release has behind the scenes clip where you get a glimpse of the writing, recording, rehearsal and MV shooting. The behind the scenes series is called "Inside Seventeen" and they are short episodes showing us the whole process in the creation of SEVENTEEN's masterpieces. So like for SPIDER, we have a few behind the scenes where he recorded, rehearsed, shot the MV with the members visiting him on the set, etc. And like with almost all SEVENTEEN releases, whether solo or groups, it is safe to always assume WOOZI has had a hand in composing, writing and producing it. It's very rare that WOOZI gets no involvement in a SEVENTEEN release.

I'm a die-hard Verkwanist myself but I'd like to add that you can ship literally any combination of them and find footage because they're all so incredibly affectionate with each other. Mingyu will hug any member at the drop of a hat, if a member does something particularly cute in his immediate vicinity there's a 100% chance of a Mingyu hug incoming. Woozi says he isn't into skinship but will fall onto whoever happens to be next to him if he's laughing his ass off or sleepy. Hoshi loves everyone and everyone loves Hoshi. i never really imagined spider to be sexual in any way… i feel it talks more about being trapped with someone and not getting away from them but you don’t really want to anyway… but you still know that even if you wanted, you couldn’t! also fun fact, the pull up bars are supposed to symbolize a spider web… if you look at them zoomed out, they actually do look like one only in square and not in a circle :) also the move hoshi did that you said you liked when he shows his back and moves his arms symbolizes him stuck in a web trying to get out! Hoshi did write and produce (with woozi) and choreograph (with another choreographer) all of it, we love to see it. Hoshi was asked in a variety show about what kind of solo he wants, and he said that he wanted to make a solo album titled "H" (because "H"oshi), and the song title would be "Hurricane" They asked him if he has vision of how the song would be and he made up that "burreura Hurricane!" part along with the coreography on the spot. Seventeen doesn't really like gender division. They believe that everyone is equal and that nobody deserves to be treated less than what they deserve. They have a couple of debates about gender equality, one I can recall is when they fought if which was first either the chicken or the egg and they suddenly shifted to a discussion about chicken gender LMAO I SRSLY CANT WITH THEM. Also, notice how their mascot Bong-bong is gender neutral. Most of their songs are also gender neutral. The hiphop unit lets the pledis female staffs check their written lyrics first before confirming it or passing it to Woozi because they are cautious they might offend women with any of those lyrics. Members specially S.coups, Vernon, Mingyu, Wonwoo and The8 buys stuff from women section, wears pride collection clothing and accessories. Fun fact about Hurricane, it actually started out as a joke between the members, how when Hoshi gets a solo he'll name it "Hurricane", only for Woozi to actually have come up with a beat for it lol, and speaking of pairings, I think Scoups and Jeonghan's pairining is one of the sweetest in seventeen. What with them being the two eldest of the group, they have this parent-like status for the members, you can see them as the dads who are there for the members in different ways, Scoups is the one who takes all their concerns up to the company, while Jeonghan listens to the members' problems and worries, which he and Scoups then talk about, and since they take care of the members, they rely on each other a lot, Scoups once saying last month to a question on what his healing was, he answered "Getting drinks with Jeonghan". yayy hoshiii! fyi no carat has just one bias, hoshi is my bias but i literally have four other biases and the rest are bias wreckers also on the info about other members solos, the majority of them do have some, but they weren't promoted like hoshi's mixtape was. so basically their solo stuff is more like solo projects/covers/mixtapes because none of them have promoted on music shows and stuff (with spider as an exception) some examples: the8 - side by side (solo project with a mv) jun - silent boarding gate (solo project with a mv) seungkwan - love poem (cover) vernon - bands boy (mixtape) something that i really enjoy about svt's music too is that since they have so much control over their music they have so many different combos of members in different songs (not in units, just random combinations of members) like: wonwoo & mingyu feat. leehi - bittersweet vernon & joshua - rocket / 2 minus 1 hoshi & woozi - bring it jun & the8 - my i they just do a really good job with making use of their large number of members and i love that they create songs for each of their members to shine!!

Seventeen usually does fixed-cam dance practices which, honestly, fair - there's so many of them, they move a _ton_ in their choreo and, especially in older videos, the practice rooms just weren't big enough. to answer some qs: -yes, hoshi had a big part in both writing and choreographing spider! there is an inside seventeen video which goes behind the scenes on spider which is really awesome if you get a chance to watch. woozi helped him produce, and his dance team helped him choreograph (hoshi's friendship with his dancers is so precious they're so supportive and grateful for each other). and iirc, after choreographing, he actually went back and re-recorded the song so it would fit perfectly with the choreo. it's a very important part of the song for him!! he's incredibly passionate and hardworking when it comes to his art. -as for friendships, honestly svt as a group are all so close; almost any 2 members you pick out are going to have a really special and unique friendship! for hoshi, some of my personal favourite friendships of his are his relationships with: jeonghan, woozi, wonwoo & dino. but again, they are all so close and have their own special friendships and dynamics. to get to know their personalities, Going Seventeen is a good start, but a loooong series. maybe to start, the MBTI episode where they do their MBTIs and then the mannequin prank? that's still one of my favourites to this day. And I remember you said you like seeing groups roast each other: may I recommend the Insomnia Zero episodes :) -if you're interested in checking out any other hoshi perfs, i recommend his stage for "horangi power" he recently did at a concert, to also see his cute side when performing (he is so so so versatile!! he can do smooth, sexy, powerful, cute, you name a concept, hoshi can do it). you might not be able to do a reaction as it was paid content and not really supposed to be shared, but there are videos of it around to watch in your own time lmao. and if you like rapper hoshi, i recommend Bring It, a song he did with woozi, and Change Up, a song by the svt leaders! -at this point, most svt members have solos in some form, yeah. mixtapes, singles, OSTs etc. members have been teasing more coming up too haha.

They ALL have unreleased solo songs they perform just for Carats at a concert here and there! I’m so glad you picked up on Hoshi’s amazing talent as a choreographer. I’ve always said that Seventeen’s choreo is as much a part of their songs as the music itself. Choreographer Hoshi expresses the lyrics of songs through dance like no other Kpop idol can. (And Woozi is an amazing with lyrics, too. He can turn your heart to mush with just a few simple phrases). Honestly, I’d recommend a lyrics video (seventeenlyrics on YT has been around the longest and are the best in my view), the MV, and the choreo/dance practice video when you react to their MV’s. You will really understand the true meanings of Seventeen songs that way! Don’t worry about video length. Carats will sit through hours of reactions! Man I don't even stan Seventeen and Spider!!! this. release. made me 👀Hoshi as a performer and artist. BEST choreo video I've ever seen, and in terms of just how well a concept is realised, and executed, and how much texture and detail there is woven into the lyrics and dance... Honestly in my top 3 releases of this year, he KILLED it. Everything about it is gorgeous.

first of all late welcome to the diamond life! one interesting thing about hurricane was it was a meme turned into a masterpiece, they joked about hoshi's first solo album being 'H' and title track hurricane, he even sang a small part of the song and we never expected it to turn into a full on performance during a concert!

If I remember correctly, Woozi originally wrote this (or most of this) for himself but felt it suited Hoshi more. I know for sure they both had a hand in writing (as we expect). As for the choreography, Hoshi wanted it to be something gals, guys, and nonbinary pals (and everyone in between) is able to perform. He didn't want it to feel as though only feminine or masculine.

I'm new to the Fandom as well, but from what I know a lot of svt's choreography videos are shot either in multiple angles or they're shot in unique angles cause their choreography has lot of details that can be missed if you watch it just from one angle. My favorite choreography video is 24H and its a part of their Japanese comebacks :)

SPIDER Mixtape came out coz Hoshi wanted something out for the fans coz they cannot meet with fans because of pandemic. Woozi and Hoshi spend a lot of time together in Woozi's studio as Hoshi takes interest in all the productionn and composition so Woozi helped him out in the production and the lyrics and then he himself choreographed it with the help of their choreographer. Hurricane was just another masterpiece when he is just hanging out it Woozi's studio and came out with this masterpiece. I love Kwon Fire

some member in the group once said (i dont remember who) that hoshi pours out all his love and energy when he's on stage, so when he gets off stage after a concert he's really quiet and tired and needs some alone time to recharge. very introvert of him and idk why but I think that's so cool of him.
