I love this performance so much. I can't count how often I have watched it already but it gets me everytime. So good. He thought he would get the last place in this episode because everybody said he shouldn't do it this way. But he just did it in the way he thought it is the best to convey the story and emotions. Because he never compromise when it comes to his music. And he doesn't cared about the voting. It turned out to be the second place in this episode. He was so surprised. 😄 I think you will like his song Giant Deer ( Mars concert 2017). I would love to hear a duet of Aurora/ HuaHua singing Giant Deer or her song Through the eyes of a child. 🥰

Oh was so waiting for this reaction. Hua Hua is the most unique artist on the planet. Everything he does tells a story and everyone will find a part of his genius that you will relate with. He is an introvert and has a very unique view of the world, so his music and passion is his voice which speaks your soul. He does not make music for the commerical market yet, hundreds of millions of people love and adore him and none more than me. Cant wait for your next reaction !

You either love or hate this performance. Some don't get the concept. As with Hua Hua (pronounced Hwah Hwah) you never know what you will get. He can break your heart, or make you laugh, or make you think. His music doesn't wash over you like lift music. He's in a happier place now, and his music reflects it. His Mars 2021 Concert has the SynthPop "Flight Mode", the put down to Internet Trolls "Black & White Artist" 😂 and the reflective "Flower in a small town". But he used Singer 2018 to take us on the journey of his life to that point. Everyone is holding their breath during this. THAT is performance. This is a cover (the little snippet in the pre-stage interview showed the original version). I swear he breathes through his ears. 😂 He is notorious for how long he can use one breath. That actually leads to a great performance by him and Su Shiding "Nanping Evening Bell". He was Mentor, she Contestant. It is sublime to start, then takes turns no one expected. (Her voice is beautiful). They had to create a performance, in.... 24 hours. 😲

Thank you so much for coming back to Hua Chenyu, I love the pure passion and emotion he puts into his songs, even if they are not his own compositions (like this one) he arranges them himself to fit his style. Hua Hua is the musical equivalent of a method actor, he puts himself into the song and experiences the emotions while he sings, it is not uncommon to see him with tears in his eyes while he sings, he also often needs to take a few seconds at the end of a song to come back out of it, so interviewers who approach him too soon often get one-word answers until he is "back in himself" For me you could react to any of his pieces, his live performances are spectacular and he never disappoints, for something lighter you could look at Jackdaw Boy or Madhouse, which are both amazing in their own unique and different ways!

Hello, I am French and a fan of Hua Chenyu since the very beginning. This song, he loves it and probably it upsets him, so he rearranged it three times since its beginning, if I don't forget. It was originally a song from "Cui Jian", released in 2005 on the album "I Have Nothing". Hua - Hua is very disconcerting in many ways, but above all he is an extremely talented young artist with a real breathtaking talent.

I've just checked back at the first review you did of Hua Chenyu, in which you wondered if he'd done any songs you might already know. The one example I can think of is this performance of Radiohead's 'Creep' from one of his concerts in 2014. Mesmerising performance. I think Hua caught in his simple lyrics, the essence of today's ambitions on human life. Be constantly alone and on the move, always the center of attention and admiration but never truly known, enjoying only happy times of every interaction but never their sorrows. As if we ever could, to enjoy you need to suffer, how much, is your only choice in life. PS: This song is a refined edition of his audition in "Super Boy" 2013 which stunned the judges.

Thank you for returning to Hua Hua! The song is a cover, but the performance is 100% Hua Chenyu. They were only allowed to do 2 of their own songs on Singer 2018. His 2 were "Qi Tian," your first reaction, and "I Don't Care," which you should add to your list. The way he interacts with the audience is incredible. He quietly says "Go" and the audience shouts their line, laughing and eagerly waiting for this next signal. That is not easy! Also, you might like "Sacred Tree." It's not metal, but parts of it are hard rock. Anyway, you won't get to these songs until next year. The people who insisted you watch Fake Monk often drag every reactor through Hua's most brutally sad songs. I stopped watching those; my childhood was sad enough. When you're * not * doing dad I'm home, dear friend, cancer, etc, I'll join you. I'm subscribed and notified.

The format of Singer was to limit the number of their own songs that contestants could perform, so you'll seldom see any of the songs from the series in 2018 (or 2020 when he won) appearing on any of his albums. He is an absolute genius of an arranger, to the extent that once he's performed a song cover it's almost impossible to listen to the originals. No doubt you'll be directed to Nunchucks (his arrangement is totally different to the original and from any of the songs you reacted to yet; look out for the the audience participation). In Singer 2020 he performed mostly his own songs from his 4th album New World. Only the song Us and the duet were covers. For 2018 they were only allowed to perform 2 of their own songs. The song I don't care is from his second album Aliens.

He is amazing thanks for reacting to my favorite performance of his. I strongly suggest that you also react to another performance from the same season of Singer but from Mongolian singer Tengri. He is 58 but his performance of his own song 'Heaven' is both really really beautiful but also really unique due to his vocals. Huahua will definitely gives you surprises everytime he performs. Those songs that he rearange, he really brings out the real emotion and meaning of the song. You can try listening to: "Dad I'm home" It's kind of like a story telling as well, a lot of the songs he sings are kind of like story telling, so you can try all of them.
